Hun is a member of the Purple Dragons in Tales of the TMNT, serving as co-underboss along with Angel.
History[]
Hun and Angel are put in charge of operations at Gently Plucked Chicken Company, the Dragons' temporary base. He takes a liking to the chickens and cares for them in between running theft expeditions.
When other Dragons pull Raphael out of the water at the docks during a theft, they bring him back and Hun recognizes the value in keeping Raph for his boss, Kitsune. He knocks Raph out with his brick, Bricky, and Raph wakes up chained to the floor, witnessing Hun add muscular arms to a number of chickens. Raph mocks his size and Hun tells him it's not nice for him to do that.
Angel arrives on her motorcycle and she and Hun bicker about the noise scaring the chickens versus Angel not wanting her bike left out to get stolen. Raph takes advantage of their momentary distraction to break the floorboard holding the chain and swinging it around to try to hit Hun, but he dodges and it hits the Boomerang Dragon instead. Angel follows up by sliding to attack Raph, and Hun leaps up and brings Bricky down on Raph's plastron, injuring his already-broken ribs.
The Dragons tie Raph up again and hang him from a hook. Angel goes to get Kitsune, but before she does, she tells Hun that he may be the strongest of them, but he needs to toughen up. She tasks Hun with watching Raph and making sure he stays put, before she leaves.
Raph instigates Hun and gets him to attack him in an effort to use him to get free. He kicks away Bricky, but Hun retaliates by flailing at Raph and then biting his leg. After this, he apologizes to the chickens for his violent outburst, and then to Raph for biting him. Raph can't believe this, as he's his enemy and prisoner, and calls him out on this. Half mockingly and half sincerely, Raph asks how he got to his position in the Dragons. Hun says he's the biggest and the strongest, and needs to protect the others because of this, but sometimes he doesn't feel strong enough. Raph empathizes with this.
Raph suddenly spies Mechazoid 02 on the roof through the skylight, and warns Hun, telling him to let him go so he can fight off the robot. Hun refuses, saying Kitsune would be mad, but Raph isn't afraid of this mysterious leader. Just then, Angel returns with Kitsune in tow, and Raph mocks the short, elderly woman before him. Kitsune lets Raph and the others present know that she intends to sell him off to the highest bidder, but not before she sells off a finger to a pharmaceutical company. Raph tries to convince Kitsune to let him go when he gets a second glimpse of 02, but Kitsune balks at his warning and leaves to take a call.
As Chainsaw prepares to cut off Raph's finger, Raph starts stalling the Dragons by telling chicken jokes. All of the Dragons there laugh at them except Angel and Hun (who is angry at them), and the Mechazoid bursts through the skylight. Hun realizes Raph wasn't lying about the killer robot and orders for the Dragons to attack it. Meanwhile, Hun tries to protect the chickens, and when 02 steals Chainsaw's weapon and hits the chicken Sadie with it, he goes berserk and begins wailing on the robot with Bricky. 02 grabs Hun and throws him, then starts taking down the other Dragons. Hun gets back into the fray and Raph, who was using this as a chance to escape, has a change of heart and begins to return when he sees Hun pinned by 02. Angel attacks Raph to prevent him from leaving, but he convinces her that he was coming back to help.
Raph takes his sai back from Angel and flings one into the Mechazoid's optic camera, allowing Hun to knock it down with a kick. Raph recovers Bricky and hands it back to Hun, and the two team up to attack Mechazoid, but it pulls out the chainsaw again and attempts to grind down Raph with it, and when Hun comes to attack, it grabs him by the neck. With the two boys struggling, Angel cuts the ceiling cable to the chicken plucker and swings it down into Mechazoid, then turns it on to pelt the robot with the machine, seemingly destroying it.
Raph leaves on good terms with Angel and Hun for the time being. Since the building got messed up during the fight, Hun sets the chickens free with their sweaters and muscular arms. However, once they begin to cross the road, one gets hit by a car, and Angel tells him that he forgot to teach them how to look both ways before crossing. Raph Thinks It Through
Hun later meets Michelangelo and Genghis Frog as the Dragons are robbing Khatri's Foodmart during a storm, and the mutants have arrived to acquire provisions. Mikey is blissfully unaware of the robbery, even going as so far as to ask Hun to help him reach a can of chicken stock, until he's about to check out and it dawns on him. The Dragons and Mike then fight, and Hun is angered when Genghis attempts to eat Ms. Khatri's cat, Mr. Whiskers.
The fight is interrupted by the floor opening up into a deep pit of water, which begins flooding the store and allowing a mutant eel named Lee to rise to the surface. Lee insists that Mike is there to stop her from reaching the Natural History Museum, even though Mike has no idea what she's talking about. Lee attacks Mike and he tries to fight her off, and while the Dragons, Ms. Khatri, and other patrons of the store try to fend off Lee by throwing things at her, Hun is more concerned with stopping Genghis from eating the cat again. When Mike finally devises a plan to catch Lee in the wires that were exposed when Cane failed to hang onto the florescent lighting, Genghis goes for Whiskers and Hun leaps up to clash with him. Hun smashes Genghis with Bricky, while Genghis hits him in the face with his tongue, and Mikey catches Whiskers.
With Lee defeated, the capacity of the store exit, and Hun is still mad at Mike for foiling their robbery and Genghis for his constant efforts to eat the cat, but he declines to fight them again right away since Mike did save them. Mikey Takes Charge
