Howie Hardy is a music composer appearing in the 1987 TV series. He is a friend/romantic interest of Irma.
History[]
Howie went shopping for a new keyboard in a second-hand shop, when he came across a Technodrome keyboard-looking motherboard which Bebop and Rocksteady coincidentally had just dumped on Earth. Playing the "whatchamacallit", as they referred to it as, was audible on the Technodrome and interrupted the countdown to Krang's dematerializer. After the Ninja Turtles realize what it is Howie has his hands on, they try to keep it out of Shredder's grasp. The Turtles and April hook it up to Channel 6's transmitting equipment to disrupt the dematerializer again. Name That Toon
Later, Howie is hired to upgrade an organ at Floxy Theater with computer components. April brings the Turtles in to help figure out why the organ is shooting lasers and refusing to quit when played. During Howie's demonstration, his assistant Erik shuts it down with a single touch. It turns out Erik is secretly an alien named Erk, and the organ is his ship. Howie had used chips from the "whatchamacallit" to computerize it. Menace Maestro, Please
