Plot[]
The episode begins at the Foot Shack. Below the Foot Shack is the secret dungeon where a ceremony is taking place. Foot Lieutenant summons a paint creature from a pot. The paint creature kicks Jocelyn in the face which causes her to crash into a wall. The result being an orange foot marking on her face. The other soldiers also got their foot marks. Foot Recruit is upset that Jocelyn gets promoted before her. Baron Draxum demands Foot Lieutenant and Foot Brute to hand over the Dark Armor. However, he has to prove himself that he is loyal to the Foot Clan in order to use the Dark Armor.
Draxum and Foot Recruit are in the coffee shop to retrieve some coffee for the Foot. Draxum became inpatient and decides to summon his golems to attack the coffee shop. Foot Recruit is amazed by this while Draxum carries a cup of coffee and sips from it.
After a while, Draxum and Recruit returned back to the Foot Shack after informing that he did the task. He asked where he could find the armor, as the Foot Lieutenant said that he is ordering the team on a task tonight and that would be the biome gardens.
Draxum and Recruit are signed for look out support duty to keep an eye on the soldiers, much to Recruit's anger and dismay.
While the Brute and Lieutenant searched the statues for the dark piece, Draxum saw glowing lights coming from inside. They looked through their binoculars and saw the turtles inside. They decided to follow them so Draxum could improve their ranks and watched the turtles approach a massive corpse flower. Donnie dared Raph to smell it while Leo said that it smelled like a mummy’s hand.
Recruit thinks this must be a trap so she starts to charge after them only for them to dodge and accidentally cuts up the corpse plant, leaving goo chunks all over her body. Leo mocks her and filled with rage, the recruit starts chasing them who somehow take cover by climbing the trees while she chases Raph.
Meanwhile, Draxum starts to pull down a lever so his senseis will fail. The alarm started to alert the gardeners and started to attack the Foot clan. Hearing the commotion, the turtles started to head outside to join battle. One of the gardeners, Harold saw his corpse plant destroyed and morons for it. Draxum began to use an oozequito and started to mutate Harold into a corpse flower mutant. The creature started spitting green ooze all over the Foot clan, turtles and gardeners and some of them had passed out because of the awful smell.
Draxum began to lift up the statue to reveal the dark piece armor. Recruit takes it after he asked her to do the honors.
Back at the Foot Shack, Draxum informs the Foot Clan that he will lead the Foot clan.
Trivia[]
- The episode's title is a parody of the 1936 self-help book How to Win Friends and Influence People.
- Foot Recruit grabbing the Kuroi Yōroi fragment from the statue's chest and screaming "Kali Ma!" is a reference to the 1984 action-adventure film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, in which Mola Ram performs a sacrificial ritual wherein he rips someone’s heart out of their chest and screams the same line.[1]
- The kanji on the mystic device Foot Lieutenant uses to locate the Kuroi Yōroi fragment (火 "hi", 土 "tsuchi", 金 "kane", 水 "mizu", 木 "ki") translates to: "fire", "earth/soil", "metal", "water", "tree/wood".
