Hot Soup The Game cartridge

Cartridge.

Hot Soup: The Game is an in-universe video game in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Description[]

Hot Soup: The Game is seemingly a beat 'em up video game with very blocky character sprites played on an Atari 2600-style joystick and a Pixel 2 console. The object of the game is to recover Lou Jitsu's hot soup, which has been taken by the villainous “Boss Level.” The player controls Lou Jitsu as he battles his way up through a construction site consisting of “sixty levels of chopsocky violence.” It is shown to be a co-op game in "The Clothes Don't Make the Turtle" as Donatello and Raphael play it together, however, what character is being controlled besides Lou Jitsu is unknown.

History[]

Hot Soup: The Game debuted in "Hot Soup: The Game". After watching an advertisement for it online, the Turtles immediately purchased it. Michelangelo left the lair to retrieve it from Montes Auction House after its active hours, but was confronted by Foot Recruit who was sent by the Foot Clan to obtain a Lou Jitsu-owned item. Mikey and Foot Recruit fought for possession of it and Foot Recruit succeeded until Foot Lieutenant discarded it due to it being the wrong object. Mikey returned home with the game and played it in the lair TV room until Splinter took notice and excitedly took over Mikey's turn to play.

Hot Soup: The Game reappeared in "Flushed, but Never Forgotten". Mikey it played it one night to ease his anxiety, but was interrupted by the source of his fear, Piebald.

In "The Clothes Don't Make the Turtle", Donnie and Raph played Hot Soup: The Game together as Mikey spectated before Leonardo abruptly disrupted their gameplay.
