Homeward Bound would have been an episode of the unproduced season of the 2003 TV series, serving as the season finale and the conclusion to the Fast Forward storyline.

When Cody mysteriously fluxes out of existence, the Turtles double their efforts on the Time Window, if only so they can rescue him. However, Darius Dunn, the Tech Turtles, and the TriShreddatron are closing in on them. Though the Turtles receive help from Usagi, Leatherhead, and the Utroms, Donnie is unable to break through to the point in time the Turtles and Splinter came from.
When the Dark Turtles enter the fray to buy some much-needed thinking time, Donnie locates Cody in a subterranean location, tinkering with some kind of high-tech machine and watching various images of the Turtles' future selves. After ultimately defeating their enemies, the Turtles, Splinter, and Serling rescue Cody only to find that they have successfully materialized in their lair in the year 2007. Cody reveals that he built a crude Time Beacon in the Turtles' home time, enabling the Time Window in 2105 to finally bridge the gap accurately and safely. With that, the Turtles and Splinter bid farewell to Cody, Serling, and company before returning to their respective times.
