Hidden Leaf Village (木ノ葉隠れの里, Konohagakure no Sato or Konohagakure for short, also called "Village Hidden in the Leaves") is the primary setting of much of the Naruto series, and is the birthplace and/or home to most of the main characters. It is lead by the Hokage, an elected chieftain who usually has a connection to a previous Hokage, either through relation or apprenticeship (or both), and is recognized as one of the most powerful shinobi of the village. As of the events of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto, the contemporary Hokage is Tsunade, granddaughter of the First Hokage.

April O'Neil travels to the Hidden Leaf Village for a conference with Tsunade. In order for her to return to her village safely, Tsunade orders Team 7 to escort her back home. Tsunade's cautionary action proves necessary when April and Team 7 are ambushed by the Foot Clan.
