fThe Hidden City Police is the primary law enforcement establishment of the Hidden City in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There are no named members of the Hidden City Police.

Organization[]

The Hidden City Police patrol the Hidden City from the sky in hot air balloons, the balloon being shaped in the image of the Council of Heads. The Hidden City Police are trained at an academy in the Hidden City ("Bad Hair Day") and the Police headquarters are the Hidden City Police Station. In officers' arsenals are crossbows, capture devices for arrests, anti-mystic devices attached to their utility belts, baby rattle/plasma ball-shaped tasers, and megaphones in the shape of a bird beak. Police crossbows can seemingly also be used as a flashlight ("Hidden City's Most Wanted") and the capture devices must be unlocked with officer keys. Even deploying multiple capture devices against criminals can fail if they are too large, such as Heinous Green's enlarged form. Huge snails with seemingly mechanical shells are used as transport for arrests which are steered by an officer using a pair of reins. The Hidden City posts wanted posters of highly-sought after criminals around the city to bolster public awareness. The Hidden City Police offers a ride-along program to civilians. The police code for a "cute toy bear turned out to be the Hidden City's most wanted" is 44-7.

The Hidden City Police uniform consists of dark blue leotards with short sleeves, a high navy blue collar, and a gold zipper. Over the leotard's right sleeve is a sky blue Council of Heads-shaped pauldron and on the left sleeve is a matching patch. They wear navy blue capri leggings, navy blue gloves with lighter blue accents, a lighter blue utility belt with six pouches, navy blue wrist bands, lighter blue rectangular knee pads, and dark blue helmets with red visors. The Hidden City Police badge is a gold image of the Council of Heads placed on the right side of the chest.

The Hidden City Police are portrayed as being cowardly and incompetent, easily fooled by Splinter's lie that prisoners are legally entitled to a giant birthday cake, believing the Resort Guard's claim that Leonardo is the thief of Hirsuté Resort & Spa in spite of Leo's protests, allowing known criminals to battle one another instead of intervening due to fear in "Portal Jacked!", doing nothing to confirm the identity of those they arrest and thus committing wrongful arrests.

History[]

The Hidden City Police debuted in "Portal Jacked!". A pair of officers spotted the fugitive Señor Hueso while patrolling after Leo forced him from New York into the Hidden City. They sought to arrest him and threw a capture device at Hueso, but Leo deflected it with the Mystic Ōdachi, causing the capture device to trap the officers. The officers found Hueso and Leo at the SS Queen Alexis and after Leo teleported Capitán Piel and his pirate crew to Tahiti, they expunged Hueso's criminal record and removed him the most wanted list.

The Hidden City Police reappeared in a flashback in "Repairin' the Baron" as Michelangelo spoke of Baron Draxum's new status as a fugitive in the Hidden City, the Hidden City Police's pursuit of him forcing him to live in New York.

In "Raph's Ride-Along", the Hidden City Police were shocked to see the appearance of Heinous Green, who was actually Raphael, and promptly arrested him. They placed him a transport along with the Mud Dogs and aimed to put them in the Hidden City maximum security prison. However, the Mud Dogs and Raph escaped the transport and one officer captured Raph in a capture device, refusing to listen to his explanation of the wrongly interpreted situation. Once the chase led to Raph and the Mud Dogs falling into a Mushroom Forest, the two officers paused their pursuit. They were later approached by Raph who led Heinous Green to them and although they initially disbelieved Raph's claim that he wasn't Heinous Green, they eventually realized the truth. The Police thought Raph to be Evil Emerald and arrested him along with Heinous Green, placing him in prison.

A Hidden City Police officer asked to have the teddy bear that Splinter was yelling at in "Hidden City's Most Wanted". Splinter relinquished the teddy bear to the officer, intentionally not disclosing that the teddy bear was actually Draxum in a cloaking brooch disguise. The officer returned to his home and gifted the bear to his daughter Heather. Some time later, the officer entered Heather's bedroom again and found Splinter and Draxum about to enter a portal. He used an anti-mystic device to collapse Splinter's portal and dissolve Draxum's cloaking brooch disguise. He then called multiple Hidden City Police officers to assist him in pursing Draxum, Splinter, and Mikey as they fled and surrounded the dumpster that they hid in. Upon Draxum emerging, the Hidden City Police tased Draxum and arrested him. They put him in the same prison cell as Raph, April, and Donnnie

Two Hidden City Police officers appeared at the Hirsuté Resort & Spa upon a Resort Guard reporting a thief in the resort in "Bad Hair Day". They arrested Leo despite the fact that the real culprit was the Yōkai Masseur. The officers allowed Splinter and Mikey entry into the prison despite the fact that they were pretending to be lawyers and allowed them to bring a giant birthday cake as Splinter stated it was part of the law. Inside the cake was the Mystic Ōdachi, which Leo used to teleport Draxum. Mikey, Donatello, Raph, April O'Neil, Splinter, and himself out of the prison, taking the cake with him as well.
