Hamato Yuuta was the father of Hamato Yoshi, the grandfather of Hamato Miwa and adoptive father of Oroku Saki. He was the leader of the Hamato Clan.
Physical Appearance[]
As young, his face was never shown, but in flashback of Vengeance is Mine, he has black hair and wears Hamato kimono.
As an old man, he was an elderly and malnourished man, completely wrinkled. He lost his hair and became bald and has white eyebrows. Now he wears a white Hamato robe.
Personality[]
In “Tale of the Yokai”, Yuuta’s personality is shown. Like Yoshi, Yuuta is a very calm, humble and respectful elder leader, who was considerate enough to take the infant Oroku Saki in after the attack that claimed the life of Saki’s true father, Oroku Keiji. He was a very spiritual man, who believes that there are some creatures from parallel realities. Despite his calm demeanor, he is not above showing anger towards those who fight each other violently, as seen that he stopped the fight between Saki and Yoshi and angrily ordered them to cease their fightings.
History[]
- Vengeance is Mine - Splinter told the story about how his father lead a final attack to the Foot Clan causing its extinction, but in the process he found a baby, Oroku Saki. He adopted him and raised him as his own son, but later Saki learned his true origin and re-started the Foot.
- Tale of the Yokai - This episode marks his first appearance out of a flashback sequence. During this appearance, he's old, is suffering from an unknown illness, and wants his sons to take the responsibility over the Dōjō and the clan. His name is revealed in this episode, as well as the fact that he was the one who killed Saki's biological father, Oroku Keiji. It is unknown what happened to him, but it is strongly implied that he died after dojo was engulfed in flames.
Trivia[]
- He's voiced by Hoon Lee, who's also the voice of his son Hamato Yoshi.
