In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Amazing Adventures, Hamato Yoshi, also known as Splinter, is a former human, now a mutant rat. He is the adoptive father and ninja master of his four mutant turtle sons Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo.
This version of Hamato Yoshi is branched off from his previous version in the 2012 TV series. His history before the events of Amazing Adventures is the same as that of his animated version, and remains similar in many ways after the continuity split, but differs in one crucial way: Unlike his animated version, this version of Splinter does not die during the course of Amazing Adventures, even as another character in this comic is killed off where his animated version was not.
History[]
Zine-Age Mutant Ninja Turtle[]
Michelangelo is bored - very bored. Splinter makes the suggestion that he create a comic of his own. Mikey likes this idea and does so, including the other Turtles and The Kraang.
The Tournament[]
Splinter sees his sons off as they are about to leave the lair for their patrol. Raphael expresses eagerness for a fight. Splinter asks them to wait a moment, and counsels them that they may becoming too quick to use force and admonishes them to think about their options and only use violence as a last resort.
Epilogue: The Terror of the Kraang[]
Splinter appears only as a Kraang hallucination after they are affected by Jonathan Crane’s Fear Gas.
