Haleville is a homeless encampment located in Central Park in New York City. It appears in the NYC vs TMNT comic story arc. The camp is comprised of numerous tents set up in a clearing.
History[]
Michelangelo first sees the encampment when he follows a stranger he encountered on a train. Wondering where the stranger got the shopping cart full of shirts from his hit show, he tags along and is taken to the encampment, where he sees that many of its inhabitants are wearing the shirts. A man tells him that they were giving them out for free at the shelters. He says that he doesn't know what it is, just some dumb show that got cancelled. Mikey finds this funny and starts laughing. After a couple of minutes, he dries his eyes, saying he needed that. He understands now where he went wrong and what he has to do next. The stranger says that's good and maybe now he'll stop banging his head against a wall. Surprised, Mikey turns to ask what he said, but the stranger has walked away. The Way of the Rotted Rat
Late one night, Hieronymus Hale goes out for a walk and ventures into Haleville. The people there want to kill him, but he begins talking and they listen. After ten minutes, Hale walks away and behind him, Haleville burns. He is proud of the fact that the eyesore is gone. Turtles on Trial
