Hachikō is the Shredder's pet Akita Inu in the 2012 TV series. After Hachikō bites Chris Bradford, the latter is doused with mutagen, turning him into Dogpound.
Hachikō is named after an Akita Inu, who was known for his loyalty towards his deceased owner.

- A dog that looks similar to him was seen barking and snarling at Mikey, Casey and Jason on the streets of NYC where they were skateboarding and causing mischief in "Meet Mondo Gecko".
