In the Mirage continuity, Goseico is a conglomerate started by Japanese immigrant Gosei Kenji upon arriving in New York City. It was taken over by his son Gosei Hattori after his assassination. Under the elder Gosei's command, Goseico dealt in illicit businesses such as drug distribution and gambling promotion; Hattori, being much more noble than his father, brought the company to more honorable and legal practices.
