Gordon Miller, Senior is a lieutenant of the organized crime investigation division of New York Police Department in Mirage continuity. He is a recurring character in the Gang Wars story arc.
History[]
Miller had been a cop for over 20 years by the fateful night in which he became entangled in the weird world of the Ninja Turtles and Foot Clan. At one point, he was scarred by an acid vial from the hands of a Foot Elite and encountered an incognito Raphael. Following the infamous Eastside Massacre, Miller and his partner Paul Whitmire began investigating any leads they could to the event. Paul woke up Miller with a phone call, and when he arrived to investigate the scene Paul was at, they found a bunch of carved-up Foot Ninja. One, however, turned out to be alive, waking up from unconsciousness. The Foot Ninja was booked and held for interrogation when he recovered enough. He pretended to speak no English, so they brought in Lin Koyobashi to translate. Koyobashi was flustered with the suspect's answers and then the ninja spoke directly to Miller in English, surprising them. What they learned from the incarcerated Foot Ninja was that the clan was not simply a street gang with an old-world Japanese motif, but an actual ninja clan.
Koyobashi excuses herself to take a call and then Whitmire takes one as well, finding that the substance they found near the manhole at the crime scene came back as turtle carapace. Suddenly, the lights go out, and they return to the still-handcuffed and seated Foot Ninja suspect to find him decapitated.
The Foot begin to wage an attack on the precinct. Miller and Whitmire fight through as many as they can, but are overwhelmed. Just as Miller faces a couple of gun-toting Foot Ninja with an empty clip of his own, he is saved by Leonardo and Raphael. Michelangelo radios his brothers and Leo encourages Miller and Whitmire to get out so they can take care of the Foot. Miller insists on getting some answers from them, but Leo says they need to get out while they can and promises when they do, he'll have a one-on-one with Miller. They end up running into Koyobashi, who has turned out to be a mole for the Foot Clan.
The Turtles fight off the Foot Clan, and Miller shoots a vial of acid in Foot Elite's hand, shattering the vial and killing the Elite while the splash damage catches Lin's face, scarring her. The Turtles and cops get away while the Foot are licking their wounds. Leo tells Miller to meet him at an old burned-out antique store to give him his answers, which he does. Miller and Leo make a pact to help each other in the fight against the Foot. To Serve and Protect
