Goldar was a powerful yet very overconfident manticore-like warrior that served under the command of Rita Repulsa.

Goldar joins the other villains in the Technodrome in Dimension X as they all bow before Rita. He and Rocksteady apologize to Rita for not having destroyed any of their enemies during the jailbreak. Casey Jones makes fun of them for using excuses and Goldar growls that his arrival helped save the lives of their enemies. Later, Goldar is amongst the villains who travel through the portal into Angel Grove with Rita. Trini kicks him in the face, drawing blood and knocking his helmet off. MMPR/TMNT II #2
The Turtles and Shredder make their way into Krang’s stronghold, with Raphael and Leonardo fighting through Rock Soldiers while Donatello, Michelangelo and Shredder try to access the system’s power node. Mikey finds the broken Dimension X Power Morphers and takes them before the two groups meet up. They find Karai trapped in a containment unit and free her so she can assist them in their fight. Don examines the power node while the others fight Rock Soldiers and doesn’t see any booby traps. He believes it will be all right to move it and Leo is glad to hear that, as it all seems a bit too… The sentence is finished for him by the monsters that Rita had waiting there for them. They spring their trap and attack. Goldar stands to one side, watching the action, and begins to gloat. Just when the Turtles, Shredder and Karai are backed against a wall by the monsters, the Power Morphers start to glow. The Turtles each take one and morph into Dimension X Power Rangers. When the tide turns against the monsters, Goldar calls for retreat. MMPR/TMNT II #4
