History[]
One year prior to the start of the series, April O'Neil was employed at Gilbert's Department Store, but her position is currently unknown.
Gilbert's Department Store debuted in the "The Longest Fight". The Turtles broke into it after its active hours to use its Wi-Fi to stream the Tōkyō Extreme Skateboarding Finals after the lair's Wi-Fi router was damaged. While watching the livestream in the department store food court, Raphael heard a crash and tried to convince his brothers to investigate it with him, but to no avail. On his own, Raph discovered Foot Lieutenant and Foot Brute on the floor above the food court trying to break into Jule's. Raph returned to the food court to notify his brothers that Foot Lieutenant and Foot Brute were stealing jewelry and they together confronted them. Foot Lieutenant punched Raph, but Raph managed to steal the ring and its display hand from his possession. A fight then occurred between the Foot Clan and the Turtles, but the Turtles tried to watch the livestream as they fought and one by one each of their electronic devices were accidentally destroyed in the process. The Foot then snuck away to an upper floor as the Turtles reflected on their fight, but Raph inspired Leonardo to execute the 14-40 move from the Extreme Skateboarding Finals to steal the ring from the Foot and succeeded. Afterward, the Turtles found a TV to watch the livestream and the Foot fled from Gilbert's Department Store, having successfully acquired the gauntlet that displayed the ring which was their intended target as opposed to the ring like the Turtles assumed.
