Summary[]

Morning rush hour in New York City is suddenly interrupted by the appearance of a Giant Footbot which stands nearly as tall as the nearby skyscrapers. The Footbot begins tearing up the city and commands that the citizens flee or be flattened. Two police officers are frightened into quitting as they run for cover.

Inside the Giant Footbot, Krang laughs as he watches people run for cover. Shredder compliments him on his idea to build the Giant Footbot. After the streets clear of people, the Footbot proceeds with its primary mission – to rob every bank in the city. The Footbot kicks in the front of a bank, opens a panel in its chest, and begins shoveling cash into the chest cavity.

Nearby, April O'Neil, holding a Channel 6 mini-camera, observes the theft. Though getting some close-ups of the Giant Footbot is dangerous, she decides to risk it anyway. Watching through the Footbot’s viewing screen, Bebop spots her and announces her presence. Krang orders them to get her before she contacts the Turtles and the Footbot quickly scoops her up.

In their sewer lair, the Turtles hear thumping coming from the streets above, but have no idea what is causing the racket. Michaelangelo decides to turn on the TV in the hopes a report will tell them what’s going on. A Channel 6 news anchor reports that a Channel 6 reporter has been kidnapped by a huge horror. The Giant Footbot is shown and April can be seen in its grasp. Leonardo says that it is time to mount a radical rescue and the Turtles head out.

The Giant Footbot is in the process of removing bundles of cash from an opening it created in the roof of another bank when the Turtles, wearing trench coats and hats, arrive. They remove their disguises and shout up to April that they’ll have her free in a jiffy. The Turtles attack, punching and jabbing at the Footbot’s foot, but it kicks them away. Raphael states that he’s starting to feel angry and Leo leads his brothers in another attack. However, before they can even get close to the Footbot, it takes a big hop which shakes the ground so hard the Turtles are tossed backwards.

Thrown into several garbage cans, Raph shouts that he’s very, very angry and charges at the Giant Footbot, even though Leo tries to stop him. The Footbot lifts its foot and then stomps down, presumably on top of Raphael. Krang chortles at having eliminated a Turtle while the other Turtles and April lament his loss. What they don’t realize is that Raph managed to leap onto the back of the Footbot’s ankle and is clinging there.

Raph recognizes that his brothers think he’s a goner, but that means that Krang and Shredder do as well. If he plays it cool, he can take his enemies by surprise. Meanwhile, the other Turtles are still attempting to fight the Footbot. Krang orders Shredder to finish them now.

Reaching the Giant Footbot’s head, Raph uses his sai to pry open an entry point. He looks down into the control room and with a grin, announces that he’s coming in. Krang orders Bebop and Rocksteady to get him, but when they rush towards the Turtle, he comes down and lands right on their heads. Stating that four against one are just his kind of odds, Raph proceeds to battle it out.

Down on the street, the other Turtles see the Giant Footbot suddenly come to a complete standstill. Leo says that it sounds like someone’s giving the Footbot a headache. A moment later, Krang, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady go flying out of the opening in the skull. Leo says he hates to do it, but he supposes they’ll have to catch them. He catches Bebop, Donatello catches Rocksteady and Mikey catches Shredder. Krang bounces off of Mikey’s shell and the Turtle apologizes that there is no one left to catch him.

Still inside the Giant Footbot, Raph stands at the myriad of controls and tries to figure out how to shut the thing down for good. He decides to close his eyes and guess, but accidentally pushes the auto pilot button. The Giant Footbot starts moving again and bashes it’s way through the middle of a building. Setting the unconscious villains aside, the Turtles haul shell to give chase. Through the viewing screen, Raph sees that April is now being held upside down and is calling for help because she’s feeling sick. Knowing he needs to stop the runaway Footbot, Raph begins stabbing the controls with his sais. A loudspeaker suddenly blares the message that there is danger from a system overload.

Outside, the other Turtles see the Giant Footbot’s head rip loose from its body and shoot into the air. The Footbot begins to fall and its hand opens. Leo shouts for April to jump, which she does, and the Turtles catch her as the Footbot hits the ground. April tells the Turtles not to worry about her, they need to find Raph.

It doesn’t take the Turtles long to find the Giant Footbot’s head, which has created a crater in the street. When they approach, they hear a hissing sound and Don says that it’s coming from a fractured gas pipe which may blow at any second. A groggy Raph appears at the opening in the robot’s skull and calls for help. His brothers quickly lift him the rest of the way out and carry him away from the robotic head, which has caught on fire.

The Turtles begin running as they carry the unconscious Raphael. Suddenly, the Footbot’s head explodes and throws the Turtles to the ground, where they don’t move. April runs up, afraid that they’ve all been wiped out, but is relieved to find them alive and kicking. She squats down next to Raph and kisses him as a thank you for saving her life.
