Summary[]
In Cody's lab, Serling has been asked to do something he appears quite happy about. Cody and Donatello wait in front of him as Serling rears back and swings a punch at the Turtle. Just before he connects, Donatello presses a button on the gauntlet he's wearing and Serling's arm passes right through him. Cody and Donatello offer each other a thumbs up, saying the test was successful. Serling thinks he should have guessed something was off when one of the Turtles asked that he hit him with everything he's got.
Michelangelo arrives and wants to know what they're working on. Donatello explains that he and Cody have managed to somewhat replicate the molecular displacement technology that the Street Phantoms use in their capes. Don further explains for his confused brother that the gauntlet lets him walk through walls just like the Phantoms. An excited Mikey snatches the gauntlet off the table and begs to be allowed to try it, but Don grabs it away from him and says not yet. Mikey seems not to hear him as he starts daydreaming aloud about all the pranks he could pull on Raphael and even on Serling, who reminds him that he's standing right there.
Don pushes Mikey out of the lab, telling him that he's once again found the stupidest possible uses for the greatest possible inventions. Cody locks the lab behind them and all three leave, forgetting about Serling, who's now trapped inside.
Later that night, as Cody is sleeping, Mikey slips into his room and grabs the key card off the bedside table. He then lets himself into the lab, gloating about being the stealth master before running headlong into Serling. Grumbling about stupid reptiles, Serling leaves and Mikey snags the gauntlet. He slips it onto his arm and then reaches through Raph's bedroom wall, where he sets the volume on the alarm clock to maximum and then activates it. The loud beeping jolts Raph out of bed and he glances over to see that it's one a.m.
A not so happy Raph leaves his room and heads to the kitchen for a midnight snack. Grinning like a mad Turtle, Mikey walks through the wall, picks up the can of soda that Raph has just set on the counter, and shakes it vigorously while his brother's back is turned. He then slides out of sight as Raph turns from the refrigerator with a sandwich. Raph pops open the soda and it immediately explodes in his face.
Mikey cannot contain his laughter and Raph rushes out of the kitchen, shouting that he knew his brother was behind the prank. He starts chasing Mikey, who doesn't see Serling coming down a cross corridor. Mikey plows right through Serling, but something goes wrong. There's a flash of electricity and a shock, which makes Serling drop the canister he's holding and then freeze.
Raph says it looks like Mikey just fried Serling. Mikey tries to remove the gauntlet, but he can't get it off. Raph goes to offer him a sai, but it and Raph's hand passes through Mikey's arm. Realizing they need help, Raph wakes Don, who is not pleased at the early hour. Raph explains that there's a problem and tells him that when Mikey ran through Serling, both lit up like the fourth of July.
Don finds the canister that Serling dropped and says that it's one of the temporal power cells used in the space-time portal. He posits that the temporal energy inside must have put Mikey permanently out of phase. A very unhappy Mikey wants to know if that means he's stuck like that forever.
An angry Donatello reminds Mikey that he was warned. He says they need to work on a solution right away, because the way Mikey is now, he won't be able to do things like skateboard, play video games... or even eat. Mikey drops to his knees upon hearing that and screams "Noooooooo!"
Later Don and Cody are shown trying to fix the problem, but their attempts keep failing. Meanwhile, Raph gloats as he plays video games and even chows down on a hot dog with everything, with a salivating Michelangelo looking on.
Finally, the group stands in front of the portal as Don makes some final adjustments. Cody is sure this will work and tells Mikey to run into the portal as soon as Don activates it. Don does so and Cody shouts for Mikey to go, which he does.
There's a flash of light and a buzzing sound and when Mikey comes out, he's back to normal. Cody explains that the temporal energy in the active portal 'rephased' him. Don takes the opportunity to lecture Mikey about listening to him from now on and Mikey assures him that he will.
Mikey then says that right now though, he has some serious catching up to do. He proceeds to sprawl out on the couch with a video game and a pile of snacks.
