
The Four Winds are four source entities whose homes are the pristine Eden worlds. The powerful Turnstone, which is capable of turning wrong into right, dark into light, only works if all Four Winds are peacefully situated in their individual Eden homes to create the necessary balance to empower it.
The Four Winds represent the four cardinal directions (North, South, East, and West). Each is guarded by an animal based entity:
- Azrael: Eagle spirit of East Eden
- Glyph: Dragon spirit of North Eden
- Snake-Eyes: Serpent spirit of South Eden
- Yaguaro:Jaguar spirit of West Eden
The Four Winds are first referenced in The Armageddon Game: Opening Moves issue 2. When Cherubae is caught in the net Noi Tai Dar shot over her, his cousin Madame Null tells Cherubae that they have her brethren, the Four Winds.
The Four Winds debut in The Armageddon Game issue 4. When Oroku Saki and Leonardo go to Hirobyl to enlist Cherubae's aid in fighting the Rat King she agrees to help them, but says that they must free her brethren first.
