The Foot Soldiers are the soldiers of the Foot Clan in the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series.

Description[]

The basic Foot Soldiers are ninja that are always under the command of the Shredder. In this incarnation, the ninja are human, just like they are in the original comics and in the 2003 TV series. The masks appear to have bug-like eyes and have the Foot Clan logo on it (similar to the outfits worn by the Foot Ninja from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films). These soldiers are armed with staffs, shurikens, ninjaken, naginata, nunchaku, and tonfa. The Foot Soldier recruits are trained at Chris Bradford's Dojos. On the streets, these taciturn warriors are often commanded by Dogpound, Fishface, and Karai. Despite having good training and effectively being able to use their weapons, these ninja, though initially a challenge, are now easily defeated by the Turtles whom they are always hunting. At the time when the Shredder was in Japan, the Foot Soldiers have not been seen since the Foot-Bots came into view. It is likely that have been replaced by them, as they are never seen again except for in the Spirit Plane, in Vision Quest.

Karai's faction of the Foot Clan has a variation of the Foot Soldiers, usually called Foot Ninjas, though sometimes also called foot soldiers.

Trivia[]

  • Despite being human, the basic Foot Soldiers never speak in this series, even when they are injured. There is only one exception: in New Friend, Old Enemy, foot soldiers do grunt in pain when attacked by the turtles in the sewers near the end of the episode.
  • A Foot soldier action figure was released in 2012 by Playmates.
