The Foot Clan is an ancient ninjutsu clan, founded in Japan. At one point, Hamato Yoshi was forced to flee Japan to escape the evil Foot Clan. Yoshi moved to New York City and lived in the sewers, where he came to make friends with the rats and then four turtles. Yoshi and the turtles were transformed by Mutagen. Yoshi trained the Turtles to be heroes so that they could battle the forces of the Foot Clan and their leader, Shredder. It is not specifically stated in this version of the Foot Clan as to whether or not Yoshi was ever a member.

Shredder, having knowledge of the Turtle's lair, has his underlings Bebop and Rocksteady install a hidden spy camera. When Shredder discovers that the Turtles are training to get into better shape, he immediately institutes a training regime for his troops, but they are less than enthusiastic. His Foot Clan subordinates consist of mostly street punks, who Shredder refers to a mindless idiots. Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Introduction
After the Hero Turtles defeat the two giant Stone Warriors, Positive and Negative that were sent by Krang, Shredder sees it as his opportunity to redeem himself and his Foot Clan. He has brought a contingent of Footbot Soldiers to Florida, where Krang had tricked the Turtles into going in the belief that they had won a vacation. Shredder orders the Footbot Soldiers to attack from ambush, but not only do the Turtles battle the Footbots, they are joined in the fight by Casey Jones and April O'Neil. In no time the good guys have wiped out the entirety of the Footbots. Holiday in Florida!
