The Foot Clan is a ninja clan that are usually led by The Shredder and they are the Turtles' main antagonists.
The Foot were inspired by The Hand from Marvel Comic's heroine, Elektra. In addition to the obvious similarity in their names, both are ninja clans that originate from feudal Japan that now run international organized crime rings.
The Foot Clan Symbol has been a left foot in most incarnations, except for the movies, the 4kids show, and the nick series (where it's a right foot).
