In Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Foot Brute is one of the co-leaders of the Foot Clan, alongside Foot Lieutenant.

Physical appearance[]

Foot Brute is an altered human with sharp teeth, yellow sclerae, light purple skin, bumps on his skin, and a large, muscular figure. He has an orange footprint painted on his face with flames spawning from the toes. He wears a blue-purple cowl, purple pants with a blue-purple sash around his waist, blue-purple wraps around his forearms and calves, and dark purple arm bands on his upper arms. He also wears a blue-purple holster on his back, carrying two axes with the Foot Clan emblem in its center.

Personality[]

Foot Brute has a relatively mild personality with a dim-witted streak—in comparison to Foot Lieutenant—and can be aggressive at times.

History[]

Foot Brute debuted in "Origami Tsunami". He and Foot Lieutenant stole reams of paper throughout New York City to have the resources to create an Origami Ninja army. Their thievery was captured on security cameras and reported on a news network, leading the Turtles to try to impede their crimes. Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant were suddenly approached by them, but the Turtles' lack of stealth allowed them to begin their escape before the Turtles could attack. Foot Brute was chased by Michelangelo but managed to reach the Foot Clan truck and drive away from the final store with Foot Lieutenant. They were later lured into a faux paper store called Leo's Paper Hut created by the Turtles to give themselves the opportunity to stop them again. Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant took their store of paper and left. However, Donatello had planted a tracer within the Leo's Paper Hut paper, allowing the Turtles to follow them to the boat they were hoarding their paper at. A fight between them and the Turtles ensued inside the boat, but once the sprinklers were activated by the fire of Mikey's mystic kusari-fundō, ruining their paper, Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant fled.

Foot Brute reappeared in "The Longest Fight". He and Foot Lieutenant broke into Gilbert's Department Store after its active hours to steal an item from one of its jewelry stores. They soon became suspicious of another presence on the floor they were on and Foot Brute was ordered by Foot Lieutenant to investigate it. He uncovered nothing and the two eventually managed to obtain the ruby ring and its hand display, however, the Turtles confronted them and instigated a fight that had Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant vying for possession of the item once the Turtles took it from them. While the Turtles were distracted, they grabbed the ring and its display and attempted to flee. Although the Turtles recognized their attempt to run and Leonardo managed to reclaim the ring, Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant's mission was successful as they escaped the department store with their sole target, the ring's hand display, which was actually a gauntlet.

Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant teleported inside the Museum of Art and Framing after its closing hours on another Kuroi Yōroi fragment retrieval mission in "Stuck on You". Taking advantage of the Turtles' indecision on which villains to pursue in their team-building ball, he and Foot Lieutenant accessed the other Kuroi Yōroi gauntlet from a chest inside the museum. They were soon after approached by the Turtles and Foot Brute donned the gauntlet and broke the Turtles' team-building ball. However, once the Turtles reconstructed it, they crashed into Foot Lieutenant and Foot Brute was forced back into their own portal after Foot Lieutenant collided with him, causing them to accidentally leave the gauntlet behind for Warren Stone to claim.

Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant supervised Foot Recruit's final Foot Clan assessment in "Hot Soup: The Game" from across the street of Montes Auction House. They had her infiltrate Montes Auction House and steal any Lou Jitsu merchandise she could find inside and kill Mikey if she desired. He and Foot Lieutenant came to Foot Recruit's aid once they realized that all of the Turtles were also at the auction house, believing her to be caught in an ambush. Foot Brute soon got into a tenacious fight with Raphael and was left at the auction house by Foot Lieutenant and Foot Recruit.

Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant completed a TV robbery on the streets of New York City in "The Evil League of Mutants". They later forcibly drew Baron Draxum through a portal of theirs while he was at a fish market and ladder factory. They proposed a union with him stating they both wished to destroy the Turtles due to their insistent meddling and that if he helped the Foot collect all of the scattered Kuroi Yōroi pieces, they would permit him to wear the armor to destroy humanity as he desired. Once Draxum expressed his interest, they drove away with him in their Foot Shack truck.

Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant returned to the Foot Shack in "Shadow of Evil" to host a Foot meeting to reveal the Foot Shack's new spring pump sandal line as well as to disclose the Kuroi Yōroi fragment retrieval mission at a New York train station. After the meeting's conclusion, Foot Brute traveled with the rest of the Foot Soldiers to the train station in the Foot Shack truck. Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant searched for the fragment throughout the station and once the Turtles arrived in their Turtle Tank to disrupt the mission, they had their newest recruit, a teenager named Randall, combat them. Soon after Randall defeated them, Draxum arrived at the train station and Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant, outraged by his excessive force, reprimanded him. However, Draxum had captured April O'Neil who was undercover as a Foot Soldier and possessed his own armor shard he retrieved earlier that day. Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant allowed Randall to attempt to execute April for her betrayal but soon realized that Randall was martial arts movie star Lou Jitsu and that he was actually allied with April and the Turtles. After Lou Jitsu and the Mad Dogs retreated in the middle of a fight between them and the Foot, Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant recovered the train station shard they had lost and returned to the Foot Shack to add both shards to the Kuroi Yōroi.

Foot Brute worked with Foot Recruit to track down Sunita while she was cloaked as a human in New York in order to steal her boots from her in "Operation: Normal". He found her roaming the streets with April, but his and Foot Recruit's efforts were impeded by Donnie and Leo. They followed April and Sunita to Bro's Pizza but were once again prevented from troubling them by Donnie and Leo. Foot Brute then fought Donnie at the Lazerdome, the location April and Sunita visited after Bro's Pizza, and was briefly stopped by Sunita who kicked him off of an arena balcony. He and Foot Recruit gained the upper hand over Donnie and Leo, but they scattered after they were struck by an explosion Sunita created with her body. They successfully stole her boots in the process, however, and reunited them with the rest of the Kuroi Yōroi.

Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant conducted a Foot graduation ceremony for several Foot recruits in "How to Make Enemies and Bend People to Your Will". They then told Draxum that to advance his low rank in the Foot, he would need to do mundane errands for the clan and sent him with Foot Recruit to Coffee Légume for a coffee run. Upon their return, Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant announced the Kuroi Yōroi shard retrieval mission taking place at a New York botanical garden. Upon arriving at the botanical garden later that night, Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant searched for the shard. However, the garden's groundskeeper security was alerted by Draxum unbeknownst to Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant, causing a battle between them and the Foot. The Turtles joined the fight as well as they were already at the garden by the time the Foot had arrived and Foot Brute challenged Leo. Due to Draxum's mutation of groundskeeper Harold, Draxum and Foot Recruit were able to obtain the shard before Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant, leading Draxum to restrain them using his mystic vines once they returned to the Foot Shack and promote himself to new Foot leader in accordance to the clan's laws.

In "Mystic Library", Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant chose to sabotage the Turtles' plans at the Mystic Library after noticing them. They confronted Raph and Leo on one of the Library's walkways, however, their fight had to be very quiet due to the threat of the Library's Hush-Bats. They tried to compel Raph and Leo to make a loud noise and consequently get seized by Hush-Bats, but ended up getting carried away by them instead with the exception of Leo. Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant were moved into the Library's kiddie room where they were bound by Mikey's legion of Yōkai children.

Foot Brute was depicted in "One Man's Junk" as Repo Mantis informed the Turtles of his prior business with him and Foot Lieutenant in which he gave them a Kuroi Yōroi fragment at Repo Mantis Salvage.

Foot Brute visited Bronx Park with Foot Lieutenant in "Snow Day".

Foot Brute had the Foot Soldiers deconstruct the nearly fully assembled Kuroi Yōroi in "Insane in the Mama Train" and prepare it to be boarded onto Big Mama's train for transport to the shrine where the Foot was to resurrect the Shredder. He traveled with the rest of the Foot to the Grand Nexus Hotel and then to Big Mama's train station and boarded the train along with the armor. Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant then separated once on board and Foot Brute became aware of April's infiltration after he discovered her removed Turtle emblem panic button and alerted Foot Lieutenant remotely. He searched for her once she hid from him and was about to restrain her when the Turtles broke into the train. Foot Brute was rendered unconscious by being stuck by the weight of Mikey's kusari-fundō and didn't awaken until the Turtles returned to his train car to forcibly bind and place him in another car so they could access the Kuroi Yōroi's car freely.

Foot Brute massaged Draxum as he soaked in the armor's mystic energy per his demand to prepare his body to wear the Kuroi Yōroi in "End Game". Afterward, he guarded the Kuroi Yōroi with Foot Lieutenant and a horde of Origami Ninja at the shrine. However, their defense was quickly broken by Splinter who had trespassed into the building with April and Foot Brute's weapons were stolen by Splinter to combat Draxum. By the time Draxum had acquired Skully from Splinter and donned the Kuroi Yōroi, Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant recovered from their injuries to see the Shredder's reawakening. However, they soon came to understand that the Shredder hadn't actually returned as Draxum remained fully intact and they eventually fled the crumbling shrine together through a portal. They teleported into the press box of a New York baseball stadium to spectate Draxum's fight with the Turtles and contemplate what in the resurrection process had gone astray. Foot Brute concluded there was an imperfection in the Kuroi Yōroi and soon grew wise to April who had gone undercover again as a Foot Soldier in the press box with them. Splinter was teleported into the press box by Mayhem and attacked the Foot before they could punish her. Foot Brute and Foot Lieutenant then moved onto the baseball field after Draxum was expelled from the Kuroi Yōroi to greet the Shredder in his resurrection.

Foot Brute was attacked by the Shredder in "Many Unhappy Returns" much to his surprise along with Foot Lieutenant and Foot Recruit. After he suddenly vanished, he and the Foot teleported to the Foot Shack to try to understand why the Shredder was acting uncharacteristically.

Foot Brute accompanied Foot Lieutenant to apple pick somewhere outside of New York City in "Battle Nexus: New York".

Foot Brute, having returned to the Foot Shack with Foot Lieutenant, allowed Foot Recruit to take charge of what the Foot should do concerning the Shredder's lack of agency and attempt to remove his mystic collar in "Finale Part 1: E-Turtle Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". He was flung from the platform of the Shredder’s throne from the sheer force of his full power returning to him.

In “Finale Part 2: Shreddy or Not”, Foot Brute traveled with Foot Lieutenant and Foot Recruit to Splinter and the Turtles’ lair to help the Shredder kill Hamato Karai who was taking refuge there. Foot Brute fought Raph upon arriving and later battled Splinter and Draxum in the Turtle Tank garage. He was eventually restrained alongside his fellow Foot by Draxum’s mystic vines.

Foot Brute was relieved from his restraints in “Finale Part 3: Anatawa Hitorijanai” and suggested that the Shredder kill Splinter as his source of Hamato energy instead with Karai no longer being an option. He and Foot Lieutenant informed the Shredder that his lack of Empyrean is the reason the essence absorption failed and together they traveled to Draxum’s laboratory after he decided to ally himself with the Foot. It became clear that Draxum’s cooperation was merely a ruse upon arrival at his laboratory and he tried to attack the Foot with a golem. The Shredder’s retaliation caused the laboratory ceiling to collapse and Foot Brute was pinned beneath its fragments along with Foot Lieutenant.

Foot Brute was left beneath the rubble of Draxum’s laboratory by the Shredder and Foot Recruit in “Finale Part 4: Rise”.

Having survived the destruction of Draxum's laboratory in Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie, Foot Brute, Foot Lieutenant, and the Foot Clan hired Warren and Hypno-Potamus to steal the Mystic Key to the prison dimension the Krang were trapped in so the Foot could worship them as they historically once did. Once the Foot possessed the Key, Foot Brute and the Foot were teleported by Foot Lieutenant back to their new hideout. After having freed Krang One, Krang Two, and Krang Three, Foot Brute and the rest of the Foot were betrayed by them after they were made into Krang zombies against their will. Foot Brute then accompanied Krang Two on her invasion of the Splinter and the Turtles' lair in search of the Key and sought to attack Splinter, Casey, and the Mad Dogs during their confrontation in Metro Tower, but they managed to evade the Foot due to Splinter's use of a smoke bomb. It is currently unknown if Foot Brute and the rest of the Foot's zombie transformations were reversed once Splinter, Casey, and the Mad Dogs defeated the Krang, though it may be possible.

Abilities[]

  • Axe proficiency: Foot Brute's signature weapons are dual axes.
  • Ninjutsu: As one of the modern leaders of the Foot, Foot Brute is versed in ninjutsu.
    • Enhanced strength: Foot Brute is considerably stronger than Foot Lieutenant, his strength rivals Raph's as he was able to seriously injure him during their fight in "Hot Soup: The Game".
  • Flame head: The footprint on Foot Brute's face produces a perpetual flame. The flame's size responds to Foot Brute's emotions, flaring when he feels strong emotions, such as shock or anger. It can be doused by water, but gusts of air do little to dampen the flame.
  • Portal creation: Foot Brute is capable of forming portals to teleport from location to location.

Relationships[]

Friends and allies[]

  • Foot Lieutenant: Foot Lieutenant is Foot Brute's co-leader of the Foot. However, Foot Brute still answers to Foot Lieutenant, sometimes to his annoyance as expressed in "The Longest Fight". They share a fervent love for Lou Jitsu and regularly do activities together such as going to Bronx Park ("Snow Day"), apple picking ("Battle Nexus: New York"), and visiting the Mystic Library ("Mystic Library").
  • Cassandra Jones / Foot Recruit: Foot Recruit is one of Foot Brute's students and a former Foot Clan member.

  • Repo Mantis: Foot Brute obtained a Kuroi Yōroi piece from Repo at Repo Mantis Salvage in "One Man's Junk".
  • Oroku Saki / The Shredder: The Shredder is Foot Brute's master. Foot Brute reveres him and worked hard to revive him so he could fulfill his violent desires. However, he was left by the Shredder when he asked for his help to free himself from rubble in "Rise".
  • Mezmer-Ron / Hypno-Potamus: Foot Brute collaborated with Hypno in Rise of the TMNT: The Movie to steal the Krang's prison realm Key for the Foot.
  • Warren Stone: Foot Brute collaborated with Warren Rise of the TMNT: The Movie to steal the Krang's prison dimension Key for the Foot.
  • The Krang: As the Foot historically worshipped the Krang, Foot Brute sought to worship them once again in Rise of the TMNT: The Movie and serve them by freeing them from their prison dimension. However, after releasing them, Foot Brute was transformed into a Krang zombie to mindlessly follow Krang command.

Enemies[]

  • The Mad Dogs: Foot Brute is often challenged by the Mad Dogs in him and the Foot's efforts to revive the Shredder and he finds them quite aggravating.
    • April O'Neil: April was Foot Brute's employee at the Foot Shack, but after she went undercover as a Foot Soldier in "Shadow of Evil", she either resigned or was fired. He encountered April again in "Insane in the Mama Train" where she snuck onto Big Mama's train, but her ruse was caught by him and he met her again in "End Game".
  • Hamato Yoshi / Lou Jitsu / Splinter: Foot Brute is a fan of Lou Jitsu, in fact, it was his film Jitsu for Justice that inspired him to partake in criminal activity. He is often mesmerized by Lou Jitsu's fighting style and was overjoyed when he realized he was in his presence in "Shadow of Evil". However, Foot Brute's loyalty to his clan appears to supersede this.
  • Sunita: Foot Brute relentlessly followed Sunita for days to steal her Kuroi Yōroi boots from her in "Operation: Normal" and succeeded after a confrontation with her at the Lazerdome.
  • Harold / Stinkbomb: Foot Brute lost a fight to Stinkbomb in "How to Make Enemies and Bend People to Your Will" due to his noxious spit.
  • Hush-Bats: Foot Brute tried and failed to please the Hush-Bats with his noise level in "Mystic Library" and was swept away by them to the Library's kiddie room.
  • Baron Draxum: Foot Brute allied himself with Draxum in "The Evil League of Mutants", but didn't respect him. He lost his position as Foot Clan leader to him in "How to Make Enemies and Bend People to Your Will" and ultimately deceived him to supply his life force to the Shredder, unconcerned about his personal goals.
  • Hamato Karai: Foot Brute accompanied the Shredder in their assault on the lair in "Shreddy or Not" which resulted in Karai's death. After she died, Foot Brute tried to help the Shredder extract Hamato essence from Splinter instead.
