Skeevix Virus

The Skeevix Virus are - despite their name - not a contagion, but instead a race of "Space Gremlins", who enjoy destroying and eating through electronics. They first appeared in Revenge of the Triceratons, and were used at the insistence of an increasingly irritable Mozar after informing him they were unable to board the Fugitoid's ship by teleportation due to it's fiber plating. While they are very precarious, and illegal in over 2,000 systems, they are seemingly easy to defeat, however they reproduce rapidly likely adding to their hazard.

Similar to Butterflies, they have a four stage life cycle, the egg form appears to take shape as a giant rock, their larvae form is a weird green gelatinous blob. They then pupate in hanging chrysalis, before taking their final form as small gremlins.
