The Pretendicon is a robot built by Shredder and Krang, which appears in the episode Plan Six From Outer Space of the 1987 TV series cartoon. Shredder had Bebop and Rocksteady activate the android, using its cloaking abilities to disguise itself as Splinter, with the intent of using it to lure the Turtles to the Channel 6 building.
However, the Pretendicon malfunctioned when it was struck by a falling billboard. As a result, it went to the nearest zoo and attempted to free all the captive animals instead. The Turtles attempted to deal with the Pretendicon, believing initially that it was their sensei. However, when the actual Splinter called them and exposed the robot as a fake, they ended up destroying the robot by crashing a catering truck into it.[1]
