The Sun is a main-sequence yellow dwarf star at the center of the Solar System in the Milky Way Galaxy. The Earth is one of eight known planets orbiting the Sun.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles apperances[]
In the episode Take Me to Your Leader of the 1987 TV series, Shredder, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady attempt to drain the Sun of all its stellar energy, using Krang's Solar Siphon causing the star to shrink. At the end, the Turtles track them to the Mile High Tower skyscraper. When Donatello shuts the Solar Siphon down, the energy streams back to the Sun.
In the episode Too Hot to Handle, Filo Sopho tries to send Earth towards the Sun with a solar magnet.
In the Archie continuity, at the end of Terracide, Part 3, Slash sacrifices himself to keep the Malignoids busy from attacking the turtles as Maligna's hive spacecraft flies right into the Sun.
