Some TMNT stuff really isn't for little kids.

In the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness role playing scenario Terror on Rural Route 5 by Palladium Books, Ferd is a mutant bull domestic terrorist.

Appearance

Ferd is a fully-bipedal mutant bull teenager with only partially human hand development and power of speech. He wears human clothes, sunglasses and carries a battle axe.

Personality

Ferd is described as angry, loud and pushy. He wants to save his fellow animals from being murdered by humans.

Abilities

Ferd is a psychic, able to coerce others with hypnotic suggestion. He has a 2nd grade education and knows how to pick some locks.

History

Ferd along with Buck and the Mutant Pigs were offspring born to animals on the farm of George Boswitch. The animals themselves all died from animal feed contaminated with a strange chemical, but their offspring survived as mutants. George received a settlement from the feed company, but for the rest of his life was a cynical alcoholic who would angrily rant about the world. This and network television was Ferd's only window on the outside world. When George died, Ferd was convinced that humanity was completely evil and would kill him and his fellow mutants if they didn't go to war against the human world first. Ferd uses his psychic powers of hypnotic suggestion to convince or coerce the rest of the mutants to launch a terrorist attack on a local school, taking its students hostage and making demands. Ferd wants to have his mutants relocated to a far northern wilderness to start a new society.

Trivia

  • The name Ferd is usually short for Ferdinand. In the 20th century there was a popular children's book, The Story of Ferdinand, about a Spanish bull who doesn't want to fight matadors.
