The extraterrestrial energy enhancement device was a device used by Rat Queen in the Saturday Morning Adventures comic The Queen's Gambit. It is a type of ray gun, colored green and gold. On both sides of the body is a picture of a slice of cheese.

After Drako and Golgotha are both defeated by the Turtles, Rat Queen declares it's her turn to take a shot at winning leadership. Shredder says she controls rats and the Turtles have already triumphed over an enemy that can do that. He asks what she can do that the Rat King can’t. Holding up a ray gun type of device, Rat Queen winks and tells him to wait and see.
Rat Queen partners up with Rat King after breaking him out of jail. He lures the Turtles into an open area in the sewers and sets the rats on them. Rat Queen joins the fight, and when the Turtles tell her they've beaten swarms of rats before, she pulls out her extraterrestrial energy enhancement device. Aiming the device at a group of rats, she fires a ray that causes them to grow in size, speed, and intellect. Michelangelo tries to destroy the device with shuriken, but a rat jumps in the way and blocks the shuriken with a brick. Then Mikey has another idea and instigates an argument between Rat King and Rat Queen. His trick causes the pair to fight each other, which makes the rats turn on one another as well. With his enemies distracted, Mikey uses his Turtle Line to yank the extraterrestrial energy enhancement device off Rat Queen's belt. He tosses it to Donatello, who uses the ray to return the rats to normal. Then Don throws the device towards Leonardo, who slices it into pieces with his katana.
