"Enemy of My Enemy" is the twentieth episode of the 2012 TV series. It aired on April 12, 2013.

Plot Synopsis

The episode begins with The Turtles watching TCRI for some type of ship. Karai shows up and fights the Turtles. She tries to get information about the Kraang from Leonardo, but Leo refuses to answer her due to her betrayal in The Alien Agenda. However, Raphael accidentally reveals the Kraang's plan to her, just before a Kraang Ship is released and shoots lasrs at them. Karai manages to lose the Kraang by ducking in an alley, but the turtles struggle to escape from them. Leo is able to distract the Kraang in order for him and his brothers to hide in the sewers. After they witness the ship turn invisible, the turtles and Karai leave.

Karai tells The Shredder about the threat the Kraang poses. Unfortunately, due to his stubbornness, he tells her to ignore them, and focus on defeating Splinter and the turtles, and securing weapons at the docks. She tries to reason with him, but he snaps at her and Karai complies.

In the lair, the turtles discuss how they should defeat the Kraang. Raph suggests they randomly shoot at the sky until they hit it, but Leo dismisses it. However, Donnie says they should strap locators to buildings to locate the invisible Kraang ship. They all agree and set out to the surface.

After securing his locater, Leo starts fighting Karai. She manages to ask him for an alliance because the Shredder didn't listen to her. Again because she left him and his brothers in the mercy of the mutant she created, Leo turns her down and leaves. But in the lair, Leo talks to his brothers, Splinter and April about trusting Karai. Splinter tells him to trust his instincts, but not be too trusting with her. However, Raph tells them not to. Donnie says it would be nice to have her on their side, but he gets flustered when April gets offended when he doesn't acknowledge her as a kunoichi.

When the turtles locate the Kraang scouting ship, they get cornered in an alley and are attacked. However, Karai saves them, but the ship leaves with her on it. Leo takes the Stealth Bike and finds and saves Karai. He's able to use the cloaker to hide them from the Kraang. 

He brings her inside the shellraiser where they listen to her. She offers them a rocket launcher from the Shredder's weapon armory they could use on the ship. Like Leo, the turtles hesitate on trusting her. She tells them that she, unlike the Shredder, is willing to stop the Kraang so they can live to fight another day. They all agree and agree on a temporary truce.

At the lair, Mikey excitedly talks about what they could do with the rocket launcher after they shoot the Kraang ship. However, Leo doubts Karai will agree and give them the launcher. Just then, Raph tells Leo that this is their chance to set a trap for Shredder. At first, Leo disapproves of the plan because he doesn't want to betray her trust, but then he agrees after Raph tells him this could be their only chance to take him by surprise. Raph is excited about this, but Leo looks away with a worried look on his face.

At the docks, Shredder, Karai, and a couple Foot Soldiers meet a man with a Russian accent and a diamond eye. The Foot give the man his payment and Karai goes to check the merchandise. Meanwhile, just out of sight, the turtles are preparing to slingshot an electro-grenade at Shredder. When Karai goes to the armory to get the rocket launcher, she notices Mikey is about to fire the grenade at Shredder and shoves him out of the way, resulting in the Foot Soldiers and the supplier are electrocuted. She fires the missile at the turtles and they manage to jump clear, but find themselves trapped with Shredder on one side and the newly arrived Kraang ship on the other. The turtles run between the shipping containers, Shredder chases the Turtles and manages to corner them, demanding them to tell them where Splinter is. However, he ducks into a cargo box when the ship attacks. Leo locks him in the box and runs out, but Shredder intercepts the rest of the turtles. Leo makes it to the box of missile launchers, but is confronted by Karai. She tells him that she feels betrayed and that he is just as short-sighted and obsessed as Shredder. She then reveals to Leo that Shredder is her father and, naturally, Leo is shocked. Karai attacks Leo and she tells him that the truce is off and they are now mortal enemies.

Meanwhile, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey face the Shredder. Shredder is still stronger than them, but after the weeks of training they are able to put up a good fight against him. After a short fight the ship returns and Karai hides from it. When she emerges, she finds that Leo has already taken a missile launcher and gone after the ship. Leo shoots the ship with an RPG and it crashes in the water, taking the Shredder down with it. Karai dives in and saves the Shredder from drowning. The turtles escape and discuss later that night about Karai being the Shredder's daughter.

At the docks, Karai rescues Shredder, but he reveals he's captured a Kraang, and states that she had always wanted a pet.

• Karai:"It's true. The Kraang are plotting an invasion. I saw the ship myself. They've got some serious hardware. We gotta do something before it's too late! Father?"

• Karai: "But..."

• Shredder: "Tomorrow night, we receive a shipment of new weapons. We shall put an end to the turtles and Splinter."

• Karai: "We can deal with that later! Did you listen to a thing I..." (Shredder slams his fist on his chair)

• Shredder: "Karai! You have set your piece. You will do as I say!"

• Karai: "Yes, father..."

• Donatello: "Guys, I think I've got something! Doesn't match any authorized flight patterns...It's gotta be the Kraang ship!"

• Michelangelo: "Or Santa!"(moment later)"Nope,it's the Kraang ship. Aw, that's a bummer..."

• Raphael: "Hey, the Stleath Bike's my thing!"

• Leonardo: "Now your thing is sucking it up."(he disappears)

• Donatello: "Hey, that's my thing!"

• Leonardo: (After Leo saves Karai's life) "Are you ok?"

• Karai: "Yeah, are you?"

• Leonardo: "Fine."

• Karai: "I'm not really good about saying, "Thank You.""

• Leonardo: "And?"

• Karai: "That was it."

• Michelangelo: "Booyakasha, Shredhead..." (the grenade is fired at Shredder)

• Karai: "Look out!" (she pushes Shredder out of the way, two foot clan ninjas and Sternako get hit with the electric grenade and get shocked painfully)

• Raphael: "Are you kidding me?"

• Michelangelo: "I do not understand that woman...."

• Karai: "I thought you were better than this. I thought you were my friend, how could you betray me? Your just as short-sided and obessed as Shredder!"

• Leonardo: "You said yourself how bad Shredder is. Why are you protecting him? You said he's driving you crazy!"

• Karai: "He drives me crazy because he's my father!"

• Leonardo: "Your father? Shredder's your father?! You're Shredder's daughter?"

• Donatello: It's to bad we can't trust her. It would be nice to have a kunoichi on our side.
• April: Um, hello? What about me?
• Donatello: No, I mean a real kunoichi. Imean, not that you're not a real one just that Kari is better. I mean, not--not better just more experienced. Is it-is it hot in here?
• April: It's OK, I get it. She's your mortal enemy, but hey, she's "purty".

Trivia

• The protagonist of this episode is Leonardo.
• Karai returns, attempting to be an ally to the turtles.
  • It backfires. Instead, she becomes a full-sworn enemy of the turtles.
• Donnie teases Leo about his feelings for Karai, which is the first time that he's teased one of his brothers for once. 
• Spike is seen again.
• Karai finally reveals to Leo that The Shredder is her father.
• More of the Shellraiser is shown off.
• This is the second time that Shredder has faced the turtles.
• Raph drives the Shellraiser, and Leo rides the Stealth Bike for once.
• Apparently, Karai can drive a motorcycle.
• Karai now feels what Leo felt when she betrayed him in The Alien Agenda.
• The end credits name the Russian arms dealer "Steranko", whose name did not come up at all in the episode.
• It was revealed that Michelangelo thought Leprechauns were real, and that he believes in Santa Claus.
• This is the fourth episode to focus on Leonardo with the first one being Never Say Xever the second one being New Girl in Town and the third being The Alien Agenda
• Shredder says to the turtles "Prepare to know why they call me The Shredder!" Possibly symbolizing he would kill them in brutal ways.
• The Turtles seem to be improving towards fighting The Shredder.
• Even though the Turtles are getting better at fighting Shredder, and use new moves against him, Shredder counters them easily, showing that like Splinter, he has not shown them every move he knows.
• When Mikey is about to shoot Shredder with the electric grenade he says "Booyakasha Shredhead" which could be a reference to the 1987 episode "Cowabunga Shredhead".
