Description[]
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles[]
- Console
Elite Foot Ninjas appear as bosses within Stage 6: Justice. A Turtle's path will consist of three of them throughout the entire stage, or two and a secret character. One Elite Foot Ninja will be found within areas 1, 5, and 6. Each Turtle will fight a different weapon wielder ninja, consisting of four; one with a battle axe, one with twin swords, one with a spear, and one with a trident. An Elite Foot Ninja will spiral out from the ground as his health gauge fills up and he prepares for battle; getting too close when the enemy appears will cause the hero to sustain damage and be knocked down. The Elite Foot Ninja walks around the room, occasionally dashing toward or around a Turtle with great speed. Both the axe and twin sword ninjas will start with a four-hit strike and three-hit strike respective, while spear and trident ninjas will twirl their weapons for a second or two, perform a quick upper strike, or perform a flip with their weapon, which has a long range. If a turtle tries jumping, they will attempt a high uppercut to retaliate.
Elite Foot Ninjas can be knocked down, but are immune to stun. They can only take about a three-hit combo before or one knockdown before getting back up or retaliating. If it when knocked down, they immediately dash back up to prevent comboing. Too long weak combos will cause them to retaliate. When dashing, they may evade damage from Shurikens and attacks. When 1/3 of their health is lost, an Elite Foot Ninja will perform an idle maneuver to create a shadow clone. He is immune to damage when doing so. The shadow clone only possesses the respective aforementioned basic attacks and cannot dash. This means they can be damaged during knockdown. Their defense is rather low, making them much weaker than the original ninja who created them.
At half health remaining, the enemy's basic attacks will grow more aggressive. Both the twin sword and axe ninjas may follow up their basic attack with a spin attack that produces consecutive hits. The spin may either last for a few rotations or will last for a few seconds that leaves the ninja exhausted, falling to the floor afterwards (this leaves him vulnerable to attack). Meanwhile, the spear and trident ninjas are identical with their spins by immediately turning their basic spin into an extended spin attack, but although they now have two longer duration twirling attacks, they will not be dizzy after performing. When the Elite Foot Ninja loses 2/3 of his health, he will make two clones of himself. Using Gembu and depending on the difficulty, it is possible to damage an Elite Foot Ninja enough so that he skips making clones. If he gets to 1/3 health remaining before making the first clone at 2/3 health remaining, he will not perform the first scripted clone scenario. When the Elite Foot Ninja is defeated, he idles in pain before quickly disappearing. All clones vanish upon his defeat.
In the GBA version of the 2003 game, the Foot Elite appear as mini bosses inside Foot Headquarters, all welding twin-bladed swords.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus[]
Renamed the Elite Guard, they guard a station of the Kuraiyama. The first one fought is the Elite Guard with twin swords at the Docks. From there, the remaining three Elite Guards can be fought in any order desired. Each CG cutscene shows one specific turtle defeating an Elite Guard member, with Leonardo defeating the twin sword Elite Guard, Raphael defeating the trident Elite Guard, Donatello defeating the spear Elite Guard, and Michelangelo defeating the battle axe Elite Guard.
Gameplay wise, they fight strongly identical to the first game's console appearance, now with voice clips added. An Elite Guard will now yell "Shadow Warriors!" when creating shadow clones. Unique to the spear Elite Guard is an exclusive attack; when a player is far enough from the ninja, the Elite Guard will twirl his spear over his head and yell "Elite Spike Attack", then thrust the weapon in the floor, which releases three spears from the ground aimed at a player's last known location.
They can be fought again in the Foot Fight tournament; the battle axe Elite Guard is fought in Round 2 along with some Foot Ninjas with bow and fire arrows, the spear Elite Guard is fought in Round 4 also with Foot Ninjas with bow and fire arrows, while both the twin sword and trident Elite Guards are fought in Round 7, coming with separate health gauges.
In GBA version of Battle Nexus you fight enemies who look like the Mega Motorin' Elite Guard toy riding Street Cycles in the second New York City stage.
Other appearances[]
They appear as regular enemies in the game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle for the City, inside Shredder's skyscraper, all wielding twin-bladed swords.
