Eddiku Kai is an artist and skilled artisan, one of a long line of artisans in the Eddiku family. His ancestor, Eddiku Yuri, made swords that were unequaled by any other artisan. Kai appears in the Saturday Morning Adventures comics.

At his home, artisan Eddiku Kai meets with Oroku Saki. Saki explains that he knows Kai's ancestor, Eddiku Yuri, created a powerful sword from the ore of a meteorite. Saki explains that he has the other half of the meteorite and he wants Kai to use its ore to forge a new sword - a full replica of the original. Kai is very interested, but says that the job is impossible. Though making the blade would be easy, the thing that made his ancestor's swords unique were the Tsuba, the hand guard. These Yuri crafted in ways that he did not pass down in his family. Some say he used magic. Kai adds that a motivated collector might find some of Yuri's unused Tsuba at the Mid-Manhattan Museum of Asian Art. With one of those, and a reasonable fee, Kai says he might be of some assistance. Using the Tsuba stolen by Shredder from the museum, Kai uses it and the alien ore to forge the requested sword. Though he usually does not make deliveries, Kai makes an exception and brings the sword to Shredder at his secret lair. Shredder compliments Kai on making such a perfect blade. When Krang arrives, Kai becomes enthusiastic about his appearance and asks him to pose for a portrait. Kai is certain that such a portrait would win him a top Laird prize, a Tonick-Pickens Medal, or even the Eastman Award. Krang has Bebop throw him out after Rocksteady hands over a briefcase full of money. Before he's tossed out, Kai hands one of his business cards to Bebop and Krang tells him to keep it because he might want an official portrait for his royal palace. Cutting Through the Universe
