"East Meets West, Part 2" is the second episode of the live action Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation (TV series).

Synopsis[]

Venus De Milo, the fifth Turtle, arrives in New York and introduces herself to her fellow Turtles. Then she reveals that she too was dropped into the toxic sludge at birth, but fell through another grate and ended up in Shanghai. She offers to teach the Turtles to maneuver into the Realm of Dreams to save Splinter.

Plot[]

The Turtles are worried because Splinter can't wake up. Just as they're about to get a doctor, the lights go out. When the lights come back on, they find themselves hanging by their feet. A robed figured goes to Splinter and tells them that he has been trapped in the realm of dreams by Dragons. The figure lowers the hood to reveal herself to be Mei Pieh Chi.

After letting the boys down, she explained to them that she was found in a drainage ditch in Chinatown. Chung I found her there, thought she was good luck, and took her to China. When her mutant abilities became apparent, he trained her in the internal arts. Chung I had been watching over a looking glass that imprisoned dragons, but they had somehow made their way to the dream realm. Splinter had been taken prisoner by them.

At the Foot's headquarters, Shredder yells at a couple of his henchmen for failing him again. He tells them to gather the Foot Clan and they'll all crush the Turtles tonight.

Back in the sewers, Raphael, Michaelangelo, and Donatello discuss Mei. Leonardo is topside talking with Mei. He explains that none of them are related by blood. They go back to the sewer and Mei goes to the dream realm. Dragon Lord is trying to convince Splinter to join them. Mei is spotted, but escapes.

Mei needs a break from the boys and decides to walk in a park at night. While walking, she's ambushed by some Foot Ninja. In the sewers, the boys are talking about Mei and decide to send Raphael to check on her. She's already taken care of them by time he gets there. She reads one of the ninjas minds and finds out that the Foot plan to attack their sewer again that night.

Upon returning to the sewer, a statue gives Michelangelo the inspiration to give Mei the new name of Venus de Milo. Venus tells them about the attack. She says they must learn to dream walk, but they can't do that when distracted by the Foot. She suggests they eliminate the Foot.

The Turtles infiltrate the Foot Clan's headquarters. All of the Foot are there. As Shredder addresses the Foot, the Turtles drop onto the stage. The Turtles fight the Foot, but there's too many. Venus is able to use her training to pull Oroku Saki to the surface and destroy the Shredder. Leonardo declares that the Foot Clan has been destroyed.
