Captain Dredd is an extraterrestrial cyborg space pirate who teamed up with Dirtbag and Groundchuck in the 1987 animated series episode Escape from the Planet of the Turtleoids. The three of them came to Shell-Ri-La to steal the gold-making machine from the Turtleoids, but they were starting to be driven back by the Ninja Turtles. Dredd kidnapped Kerma and took off with him. Then, they recruited a Brute Force to deal with the Turtles upon their return. Kerma escaped in the meantime.
Donatello had fixed the bad programming in Kerma's Robots to enable them to defend Shell-Ri-La. However, as they were made of gold, they were easily destroyed. Seeing his creations demolished, Kerma went into a rage and took on the baddies himself. Dredd still proved to be powerful, however, but upon realizing he was a cyborg, Donatello used the remote he used for Kerma's Robots to control Dredd and cause him to collapse.
