Dragon Face is the underboss of the Purple Dragons, second only to Hun within the organization (with Hun, of course, reporting to Shredder). He functions as the second stage boss of the 2003 console and PC game as well as the final boss of Raphael's chapter in the Game Boy Advance game. Despite being a human boss, he is not playable in versus mode.

Powers and abilities[]

  • Leadership: As the Purple Dragons' underboss, he was capable of commanding scores of thugs. This is represented in-game as being able to summon random Purple Dragons to fight alongside him.
  • Pugilism: Dragon Face's only attack in the console/PC versions of the game is a massively nasty hook punch.
    • Spinning energy punch: In the GBA game, Dragon Face's primary means of attack is a spinning lariat punch that envelops his hands in a fire-like energy.

Description[]

Console[]

Dragon Face appears at the end of Things Change part 3: Streets. He is fought as a boss with no introduction, but if playing Things Change as Raphael, Casey Jones will comment on the Purple Dragons at the beginning of part 3, before Dragon Face appears during the cutscene (he is still fought as the end of part 3).

Dragon Face is essentially the first boss of the entire game (second if Casey Jones was fought prior). As such, he has a straightforward pattern. When close to a player, he will launch a powerful fist attack in a 1, 2, or 3 punch string. He is immune to stun, and he can only take up to a three-hit combo before retaliating. If he is knocked down, repeated attacks while he is down may cause him to immediately retaliate strike back in order to prevent consecutive hits aimed at him.

Dragon Face is also the first boss to be fought against in Challenge Mode.

Game Boy Advance[]

Dragon Face is fought at Act 4 of Raphael's story. He is assisted by Purple Dragon members during this battle. His dialogue is roughly identical to his dialogue from the console version.
