Recap: Shredder has injected Leonardo with a serum that reverses his personality. Once a hero, Leonardo has now become Shredder’s most faithful lieutenant and is out to capture April O'Neil.

Having pulled his swords on April after confronting her outside of a pizzeria, Leonardo tells her to move, because they have prepared a cell for her at the Tecnodromo. April backs onto a street grate, unable to find a way to escape. Suddenly, a hook comes up from below, grabs the grate, and pulls it open. April falls and lands in a net held by the other three Turtles. Splinter had suggested they keep an eye on her.

The group heads through the tunnels to a ladder, because Leonardo knows the sewers as well as they do. Unfortunately, as Michelangelo lifts the manhole cover, he spots Bebop and Rocksteady. April climbs up next to him and points out that the two mutants are carrying weapons tipped with the same type of syringes that had hit Leonardo. April says she bets they are loaded with the brain-turning serum. As Bebop and Rocksteady start walking, April climbs onto the sidewalk. She tells the guys to wait for her because she has an idea.

Bebop complains that he’s tired of looking for Turtles to brainwash. Rocksteady is hungry and suggests they get something to eat, so the pair go to the nearest burger joint. Bebops sets his gun on the counter and orders two extraburgers. Taking their food, they stroll outside, leaving the weapon behind. April can’t believe her luck and quickly approaches the burger employee. The man has picked up the gun and says that the big pig forgot his device. April offers to take it back to him, saying that they are best friends.

When April returns to the tunnels with the weapon, Raffaello thinks she’s been brainwashed too, but Donatello realizes she’s brought them the sample of the serum he needs. A while later, he calls out that he has synthesized the antidote for Leonardo. Splinter tells April that they owe her a lot. Michelangelo wants to draw straws to choose who gets to punch Leo, but Donatello tells him an injection is not necessary because the serum is taken by mouth. Raffaello says that won’t be easy and they’ll have to use a funnel. Michelangelo asks if that can’t just tell him “would you like a sip of the antidote”? Donatello tells them that Leonardo believes they are his enemies and won’t take anything from them. April is certain Shredder will have noticed the missing serum and will advise Leonardo not to accept anything from strangers. Splinter quotes an ancient ninja proverb regarding a thirsty warrior and then tells the others that they know their brother.

Soon, Splinter, Raffaello and Donatello are topside, standing next to a large dump truck. Shredder and Leonardo face them, the later holding a bazooka. Shredder tells his enemies that the bazooka will break them into sub-particles. Splinter replies maybe so, but first they want to pay a tribute to their old companion. He then turns and tells Michelangelo to turn it on. Michelangelo activates the dump mechanism to lift the backend, and dozens of pizzas pour out onto the street. Shredder sneers at the yucky stuff, but Leonardo is excited, since he hasn’t eaten pizza in a long time. The Tecnodromo canteen never serves it because Shredder hates pizza. Unable to resist, he dives into the pile of pizza and begins chowing down. A moment later, the antidote takes effect and recovers himself. Shredder shouts at him to stop fooling around, but Leonardo throws pizza in his face and tells him it’s bad manners to disturb a Turtle while he’s eating. As Shredder flees, the Turtles throw pizzas at him. Leonardo asks Donatello for the recipe for his antidote pizza while Shredder shouts that he hates mozzarella.

Later, in the Tecnodromo, Shredder shouts at Bebop and Rocksteady that it’s all their fault too. If they hadn’t lost that dose of serum, Leonardo would still be with us. Bebop agrees and Shredder tells them that as punishment, the two mutants will polish the Tecnodromo to a mirror. They both readily agree, which makes Shredder believe their brains have melted. Krang tells him that maybe they are smarter than he imagines. In another area of the Tecnodromo, Bebop and Rocksteady are sweeping and mopping the floor. Bebop wonders what Shredder would say if he knew they lost the syringe on purpose. Rocksteady says that as an enemy, Leonardo is passable, but as a superior, never gonna happen.
