Donatello is one of the four Ninja Turtles appearing in the comic strip Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
History[]
At some point, Donatello and his brothers came into contact with a mutagenic substance and became humanoid, then were trained by the rat master Splinter.
TMNT: Comic Strips Introduction[]
The comic strip begins with each Turtle taking a turn in welcoming readers to the comic strips. Then Splinter and the Turtles launch into the retelling of the Turtles' origin story. When Donatello speaks of their time in the pet shop, it is revealed that he was the last to hatch. A panel shows the Turtles with their signature weapons, including a dialogue box with the name of the weapon. Donatello is shown with his Bō.
The Last Gaea Tree[]
Michaelangelo drops in on Raphael in the sewer tunnels while the latter is on patrol. They both saw a mom and her little girl pass by and go deeper into the tunnels. Mike has brought pizza with tons of toppings, and the two Turtles start to eat it without waiting for the others. Just as they start to bite into the first slice, Leonardo and Donatello show up. After the meal, the Turtles discuss the fact that Splinter has been gone for two weeks. Worried, they decide to go in search of him.
