Open with a view into the lair and Donatello’s workstation. Donatello narrates, introducing himself and saying that as long as he can remember, he’s always liked to tinker with stuff. He is welding a small hand-held device and when he finishes, he presses a button on the device, and multiple tools pop out. He explains that he started building his own toys when he was just a little hatchling, but now that he’s grown up, the toys just got bigger. Don slides out from under the Battle Shell and then takes it for a spin.
Don says that some of his particular favorite inventions are the Battle Shell, handy for quick assaults and getaways. Another is the Sewer Slider, which Don calls a subterranean muscle mobile. The Sewer Slider is demonstrated by Leonardo, who zips through the sewers tunnels. Then there is the Shell Cycle, as speedy as it is stylish. Raphael speeds by on his red Shell Cycle and pops a wheelie.
On a rooftop, Don spins his bō and proceeds to take out a group of Foot Ninja. He says that when it comes to crunch time, he’s found that the simplest gadget is still the most effective.
