Donald J. Lofty is a rich businessman. He first appears in the episode Slash: The Evil Turtle from Dimension X of the 1987-1996 series where he has employed Fenton Q. Hackenbush as developer. When Fenton Q. Hackenbush's plans are revealed, Donald J. Lofty fires him.

However, he remarks in that episode that this is "not the first time" the Ninja Turtles have helped him, indicating that that episode takes place after one or both of his other appearances in "The Big Zipp Attack" and "Rebel Without a Fin".

Trivia

• His name is most likely a reference to real life business investor (and later, United States president), Donald J. Trump. Demeanor and appearance-wise, however, he more reflects Donald's father, Fred. Lofty's employee, Fenton Q. Hackenbush, is more similar to the real-world Donald in both appearance and personality.
