[Opening sequence and theme song.]
Leonardo "Those two creatures are around here somewhere. I just know it. What are they?"
[They are looking down at some unusual footprints.]
Donatello "Who knows? Ever since Shredder unleashed that mutagen in the zoo years ago, the city's been crawling with mutant animals."
Michelangelo "Yuck! Mutant animals, my least favorite kind."
Raphael "Hey, what are we, mutant vegetables?"
[They hear screaming. At the Crystal Palace Mall people are fleeing the building. Inside are Tokka and Rahzar, who is sniffing the air.]
Rahzar "I smell something good to eat."
Tokka "I know just how you feel, Rahzar. I'm starving."
Rahzar "Tokka, you’re the only friend I've got."
[They kick in the door of the Little Italy restaurant and send people screaming from the place. The pair of mutants begin eating food from the buffet.]
Rahzar "Nothing can stand in our way."
[He holds up a large turkey leg, but a thrown sai pierces it and pins the food to the wall.]
Raphael "Don't you know it ain't polite to eat with your paws?"
Donatello "A mutant wolf and a mutant snapping turtle."
Raphael "Oh, man, not another mutant turtle. I'm starting to feel… Help me… Un-unique."
Michelangelo "Let's demolish these copycats."
[He flings his Turtle Line around Tokka, but the mutant snapping turtle catches the line in his mouth and snaps it, then breaks the rest of the line. He tackles Michelangelo.]
Rahzar "You little twerps better leave my friend alone."
[He roars and swipes Raphael’s second sai out of his hand. Raphael picks up a table, but Rahzar shatters it.]
Raphael "Leonardo, give that creep a manicure."
[Leonardo moves forward, katana lifted, but Rahzar breaks it into pieces.]
Rahzar "The claw is mightier than the sword."
[He lifts Leonardo and throws him through a glass window into the mall’s atrium.]
Leonardo "Whoa!"
[Still wrestling, Tokka and Michelangelo fly through the other glass window. Rahzar leaps out after them, followed by Donatello and Raphael. Tokka rises, but is grabbed by two of the Turtles.]
Tokka "Rahzar! Save me!"
Rahzar "Leave him alone!"
[He strikes the mall’s center support post, which crumbles, causing the glass ceiling to collapse. Tokka pulls free and runs to Rahzar. Glass begins falling and the Turtles yell as they hit the floor. When the glass stops falling, they jump up and try to follow the rogue mutants. Having made it out of the mall, they vanish.]
Raphael "Aw, man, they could've gone anywhere."
Donatello "Well, at least we saved the mall."
[A view of the mall shows most of it has fallen in on itself.]
Raphael "You call that "saved," huh?"
Donatello "Well, maybe it'll need a few new windows."
[Later at the Turtle Lair, the Turtles are watching television. The mall is shown.]
A. J. Howard "What caused this calamity, friends? It was a bunch of mutants. And that loud, sucking sound you hear, that's the sound of businesses fleeing the city. Employment down thirty-eight percent, new construction off by nearly fifty percent."
Michelangelo "Who is this wacko?"
Donatello "You mean you've never heard of A. J. Howard, the eccentric billionaire?"
Michelangelo "No, sorry dude, I'm not up on my eccentric billionaires."
Howard "And why is business down? Because this city is crawling with mutants. I've even had to delay the opening of my new skyscraper, the Howard Building, until these abnormal creatures are off the streets. Now, thousands of you have sent in for my free anti-mutant bracelets, and I appreciate your support. So out of my own pocket, I've hired this man, Dirk Savage, a professional mutant hunter."
Dirk Savage "Ah. You mutants can't hide from me. I'm gonna get every last one of you freaks."
Donatello "Even us?"
Howard "Now, if you see any unusual-looking creatures, dial our mutant hotline and you'll see some world-class mutant hunting. That's 555-NO MUTANTS."
Savage "Mutants are the problem. Grr! And Dirk Savage is the solution."
Michelangelo "That dude couldn't be after us. We're the good guys."
Raphael "You heard him. He said he was gonna catch every last one of us."
Donatello "But don't those idiots know there are good mutants as well as bad ones?"
Leonardo "Evidently, A.J. Howard doesn't."
[The Turtles head out of the lair.]
Raphael "Where'd he dig up that nutball Dirk Savage?"
Leonardo "That's what we've gotta find out."
[They meet up with April and Irma at the Channel 6 news building.]
April O'Neil "We don't have much in the newsroom files on Dirk Savage. He's a professional soldier of fortune. He's fought for governments all over the world."
Irma Langenstein "Usually against rebels, misfits, and other outcasts."
Donatello "Well, at least we know he's tough."
Raphael "What, the eye patch didn't convince you?"
[Leonardo’s Turtlecom chirps.]
Leonardo "Leonardo here."
Napoleon Bonafrog "Hey there, bubba."
Donatello "Napoleon Bonafrog."
Napoleon "Yup. Me and ol' Genghis Frog here decided to pay y'all a visit."
Leonardo "Uh, this may not exactly be the best time for you guys to be in the city."
Napoleon "What do you mean?"
Donatello "Where are you now?"
Napoleon "Oh, we came out of an underground river into this big ol' swamp in a park. Say, what's the big—"
[There is a zapping noise.]
Genghis Frog "Um, uh, Napoleon, old buddy? I seem to have gotten myself a little bit stuck here."
[His foot is caught in a laser trap.]
Dirk Savage "All right, you mutant scum. You're mine!"
[The Turtles listen to the sound of blows landing and the Frogs shouting.]
Leonardo "Napoleon, Genghis, get out of there, now!"
Raphael "Boy, Dirk Savage doesn't waste any time."
Leonardo "And neither do we. Come on."
[Genghis tries to kick Savage away with his free foot and Napoleon attempts to tackle the man.]
Napoleon "You leave my bubba alone, you hear?"
[He manages to shove Savage down, but the man uses a device that shoots out a rope. It wraps around Napoleon, trapping him. Then Savage leads Napoleon over to the trapped Genghis and picks him up by his trapped foot.]
Savage "There's no room in our fair city for mutants like you."
[He begins dragging them along behind him.]
Napoleon "You know, Genghis, I'm beginning to wish we'd stayed down in the Everglades."
[The Turtles reach the park after Savage has gone.]
Donatello "There was a struggle here, all right."
Michelangelo "That creepazoid got our froggy amigos."
Raphael "Terrific. Eight zillion mutants in this series, and he catches two of the good ones."
Leonardo "Guys, this is getting serious. I think we'd better consult with Master Splinter."
