Summary[]

L'Unita' Mobile di Canale 6 patrols the city, looking for news. Inside, April O'Neil expresses her boredom. Her boss, Barney Thompson, calls to her on the radio at that moment. She answers and he tells her to rush to the intersection of Seventh and Norton Avenue. April asks what’s happening and Barney tells her that two of those Turtle guys are rampaging and the police can’t stop them. April can’t believe her friends would break the law and the van driver immediately heads for the intersection in question.

When they get there, they see the police holding people back as two Turtles, one with a red bandana and the other wearing orange, throw things at the police vehicles. April thinks that they are the Turtles, but also not. She tells her cameraman to start shooting while she prepares the microphone. The two Turtles decide they’ve done enough and duck into the sewers. April tells herself that it wasn’t her Turtles, but the public will soon be attacking them.

In the Tecnodromo, Shredder has been watching the destruction caught on camera and thinks it’s fantastic. Watching with him are Bebop, Rocksteady and Krang. Shredder tells Krang that they won’t have to worry about the Turtles anymore. Krang responds that for once, he’s right. The mayor will at least have to call the Marines in to free the city of the threat.

Meanwhile, in the lair, April has been showing the recording to her friends. She asks them what they think and Michelangelo wonders if other Turtles could have undergone the same mutation as them. Splinter finds that to be very unlikely. He has a suspicion and if those two come back, they will check it out.

It isn’t long before the pair do come back. One of them begins destroying a mailbox with a bō and the other tells a nearby man to call the police because the Turtles are back. The man confronts the staff wielder and shouts that he believed they were on the side of order and justice. The fake Turtle replies that they are very bad. Then the pair begin attacking a car. The one in the red bandana tells his fellow they need to find something else to break, but his partner stops him. He sees a Ninja del clan del piede coming up from the nearby manhole. The ninja informs the pair of fake Turtles that Shredder sent them and that they must return to the Tecnodromo immediately.

Pulling off his Turtle mask, Bebop says that’s a pity because they were doing so well. The other fake yells at him not to remove his mask, and Bebop asks why. He answers that the humans believe they are the Turtles and if someone sees him… It is too late though, because onlookers realize they are fakes. The other fake Turtle removes his mask, revealing himself to be Rocksteady. The ninja tells them not to worry and then removes his hood to reveal that he is Leonardo. Bebop yells for Rocksteady to run and they both take off. A little boy walks up to Leonardo and asks for his autograph. Leonardo tells the other Turtles that their appreciation rating is back.

Underground, in the Tecnodromo, Krang is berating Shredder for being an idiot. He says he should have known that Shredder would fail this time, too. Shredder argues that it wasn’t his fault and that his second-rate mutants ruined his perfect plan. As punishment, he has Bebop and Rocksteady running non-stop on a treadmill while Ninja del clan del piede administer shocks from a cattle prod. Bebop yells that they didn’t do it on purpose and Rocksteady asks if they can stop because they are tired. As Shredder walks away, he says that he is as well… of the two of them.
