A wave of strange thefts hit New York City, perpetrated by Bebop and Rocksteady. As they run from the proprietor of a pizzeria, both carrying yeast dough, Rocksteady wonders what Krang intends to do with it all. Bebop counters by asking about the tomato sauce truck they stole yesterday. The pair enter the waiting Modulo da trasporto and Rocksteady says maybe Krang wants to open a pizzeria. Bebop says that’s impossible because he hates pizza.

When they return to the Tecnodromo, Krang is pleased that they brought him more yeast dough and tells them to put it with the rest. They place their armloads of dough onto the mutation machine platform. Rocksteady notes that there is a mountain of the stuff on the platform. Shredder asks if Krang knows what he’s doing. Krang replies that he’s not surprised Shredder doesn’t get it. He explains that the yeast in pizza dough is made by living microorganisms, and everything that lives can become a mutant. As Krang fires up the machine, Shredder says that he now understands the idea.

In the lair, Michelangelo carries pizza with fruit ice cream to the table where his brothers are waiting. Splinter states that personally, he prefers a good boiling tea. Leonardo questions having boiling tea in this heat, but Splinter says that it’s actually refreshing. The Turtle Communicator begins to beep, so Leonardo answers it to find that it is April O'Neil calling. He asks her what is happening, and she says he won’t believe it. She adds for them to come running. Leonardo turns to his brothers and says to put the pizzas back in the fridge.

Shortly, they arrive at April’s location in their Turtle Van. Leonardo leans from the driver’s side window and asks about the emergency. April replies that it’s rounding the corner right now. The Turtles see that a giant animated pizza blob is terrorizing the city. Though the police are shooting at it, they are having no effect. April says that the police have already called the army. A tank arrives and the soldiers fire the cannon at the blob, which simply absorbs the impact. The Pizzona responds to the attack by returning fire with a large flaming onion. It lands inside the tank, causing the soldiers to evacuate the vehicle to escape the stink. Leonardo shouts for the Turtles to attack.

Raffaello sighs and says that it’s against his principles to hurt a pizza. Donatello sympathizes, but says they must. He attacks with his , but only manages to splatter himself with tomato sauce. The Pizzona hits him in the face with a big tomato and then begins flinging peppers, tomatoes, chilis and salamis at the Turtles. Donatello says that he’s always loved spicy food, but explosive chilies are way too much. Raffaello warns the others not to get hit by the salami slices.

The Turtles look up when they hear Krang say that he sees they like his cooking. Krang is in a small helicopter so that he can watch and order to enjoy the triumph of his specialty made with mutant yeast. He tells the Turtles to enjoy it also because it will be their last pizza. Leonardo tells the others that this time, they are in trouble. Michelangelo doesn’t agree and says for them to try to keep the mutant busy for another half an hour. Leonardo asks what he’s going to do and Michelangelo answers that he’s going to get what he needs. As he races away, he tells them to hold on.

A while later, Leonardo complains that he’s getting tired and wonders how long Michelangelo will take. Just then, the Turtle in question arrives with giant utensils. Leonardo asks what they are supposed to do with giant knives and forks. Michelangelo tells him to look at Pizzona and he’ll understand. The Turtles realize that Pizzona is deflating and Leonardo asks how that is possible. Michelangelo answers that Krang may be a genius, but he’s certainly not a cook, otherwise he would know that yeast loses its effect in a few hours. After a while, his mutant pizza transformed into a normal gigantic pizza. The Turtles each grab a knife and fork and Raffaello says he’s got a good appetite now. Krang flies away, stating that if he had feet, he’d kick himself.
