Devil's Backbone is a located in the Hidden City between Big Mama's auction house and the Hirsuté Resort & Spa. It is a bridge, seemingly made from the spine of a huge Yōkai, that leads to Baron Draxum's laboratory and spans the length of a lava chasm that is home to a lava demon. Its winding length and rough surface, along with the lava demon that resides beneath it, makes Devil's Backbone a dangerous way of travel.
History[]
Devil's Backbone debuted in "Goyles, Goyles, Goyles". Huginn and Muninn pulled a carriage holding two other gargoyle to Draxum's laboratory to be hired by him. They decided against traveling along Slow and Steady Way and instead travel across Devil's Backbone to impress Sarge Goyle with their courage and resolve. However, the carriage wheel struck a rock and the two gargoyles fell out of the carriage and were captured by the lava demon below. Huginn and Muninn safely made it to the doorstep of Draxum's laboratory, oblivious to the horror that occurred behind them.
