"Cyber-Turtles" is an episode of the animated 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series.
Summary
The Turtles thwart an attempted break-in while April tapes them, hoping to prove once again that they are on the side of the law. April is dubious about their chances of changing Burne's mind. Just then her boss calls her with news of a surprising crime: the theft of a rare telescope, the Astroviewer, from the National Space Exploration Center.
The only clue to what happened is a trail of peculiar tracks in the road outside, which turn out to be the doing of Shredder and Krang. Krang hopes to use the Astroviewer to open a dimensional portal. But just then he discovers a Glaxxon starfighter flying past Earth. He is able to break into their transmission, and learns that they have recently defeated their enemies and now have possession of the Firestar, which will make them the undisputed masters of the universe.
Krang is delighted by this news, as the Firestar is an ancient artifact that he had believed mythical. He believes he can use it to rule the cosmos, if he can get it from the aliens. So he shoots down their ship, which the Turtles spot as it plummets towards the Earth.
Just after the crash, Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady arrive, use a stun grenade to paralyze the Glaxxons, and steal the Firestar. The Turtles arrive just as the grenade's effects wear off, and the loss of the Firestar is uncovered. The Glaxxons immediately attack them and end up capturing them. The Turtles try to explain that they only came to make sure that nobody was hurt and that they are friends. Commander Korak explains that the Glaxxons have no friends and orders them thrown into a cell.
April spots the Glaxxons departing the ship, and realizes that the Turtles have been captured. She summons Casey Jones to help her get the Firestar back, so she can barter the Turtles' freedom with it.
Meanwhile, Krang exults that possessing the Firestar means that he doesn't need a portal, since he can simply eradicate the dimensional barriers altogether.
The Glaxxons fear that someone is jamming their sensors, as they cannot locate the Firestar. So they don their Cyber-Suits, jumpsuits that transform into giant mechanical robot bodies the size of buildings. After witnessing their transformation through a porthole, Donatello uses his belt buckle to short out the lasers imprisoning them. The Turtles grab four more Cyber-Suits and are also encased in giant robots that follow their physical movements.
They find the Glaxxons tearing the city apart to find the Firestar, and begin fighting the aliens. However, they are hampered by a lack of functioning weapons, as Donatello has no idea how to activate the lasers and missiles each suit has.
April and Casey arrive at the Hall of Science just as Krang starts to dissolve the dimensional barriers. She contacts Leonardo with news of what's happening, and the Turtles split into two teams: Donatello and Raphael will fight the Glaxxons, while Michelangelo and Leonardo will stop Krang from merging the two dimensions.
Rather than waiting for the Turtles, Casey and April head up a neighboring tower and slide down a rope onto the rooftop. Unfortunately, Shredder and his mutants are waiting, and Casey and Shredder soon engage in a sword fight in which Shredder seems to be the victor. Just then, Leonardo and Michelangelo arrive in their building-sized mechas, and are able to easily shrug off the attacks from their enemies. Leonardo attempts to hold back the ships coming through the dimensional rift, while Michelangelo strands Shredder on a tower top. However, Krang aims the Firestar-energized laser at Michelangelo, damaging his suit and causing it to shrink back down.
Raphael and Donatello take on the Glaxxons, but they're now outnumbered and severely outgunned. Donatello finally figures out how to arm the weapons systems, and they are able to easily destroy the other Cyber-Suits and capture the aliens inside.
Casey and April break into the room where Krang is keeping the Firestar, and Casey damages Krang's bubble walker while April takes the crystal. The ray cuts off, and the dimensional rift closes. Leonardo then rips the ceiling open and knocks aside Shredder and his mutants, then departs with Casey, April and Michelangelo in his hands.
The Glaxxons expect to be killed after being defeated, and are shocked when the Turtles give them mercy. However, Leonardo declares that the Firestar is too dangerous to be in anyone's possessions, and Korak agrees to destroy it in the core of the galaxy. The Turtles help fix the alien ship, and the Glaxxons fly off in their mission to destroy the Firestar.
However, Splinter is worried by what may happen because of this, because there are many aliens who might try to steal the Firestar. And if someone does, they may hear from the Glaxxons again.
