[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[Pan over a full moon and across the city to a large building. At the front door, three men are attempting to break in using an acetylene torch.]
Leonardo "You guys lose your keys?"
Torch man "It’s those Turtles!"
Raphael "We ain’t the welcome wagon, bub."
[The man raises the feed on the acetylene tank and fires at the Turtles, who leap out of the way.]
Leonardo "You want it hot; I’ll give you hot."
[Leonardo throws a katana and pierces the acetylene tank. The men cry out and run. The tank explodes. Nearby, April is filming the fight with her mini-camera. A man runs at the Turtles with a crowbar.]
Blue cap thief "I’ll pry you weirdos out of your shells."
[He swings the crowbar, but Donatello blocks it with his bō. Donatello quickly disarms the man and flips him over to the ground.]
Donatello "Try prying yourself out of jail."
[Another thief, swinging a chain, charges at Raphael.]
Raphael "You ever hear the phrase “A fool and his chain are soon parted?”"
[Raphael catches the chain on a sai and tosses it away. Then he trips the man, who falls against the other two thieves. Michelangelo wraps his Turtle Line around the trio.]
Michelangelo "These guys will make a nice present for the police."
April O'Neil "I got it all on tape."
Donatello "That oughta be enough to convince Burne we’re on the side of law and order."
[They walk her back to her car.]
April "I don’t know, guys, he’s really had it in for you ever since the Channel 6 building blew up.
April here."
[Her mobile phone rings.]
April here."
Burne Thompson "O’Neil? Big story. There’s just been a break-in at the National Space Exploration Center."
April "That’s only a few blocks from here."
Donatello "Let’s check it out."
[They all hop into April’s convertible. There are a number of police cars at the scene, as well as police barricades. Inside, a scientist speaks to plain clothes detectives.]
Scientist "Only one thing was stolen, officers, the Astroviewer. It’s a new type of telescope. By means of radio frequencies, it can peer into any corner of the universe."
[In the air vent above the men, the Turtles listen to the conversation. They meet with April outside.]
April "I don’t get it. What kind of nut would steal a telescope?"
Leonardo "Is it something Krang and Shredder might have a use for?"
Donatello "Well, maybe, but I couldn’t say what."
Michelangelo "Whoa, dudes, check it out."
[He points to indentations in the street.]
Donatello "They almost look like tracks."
Raphael "What kind of vehicle leaves Swiss cheese?"
Donatello "A vehicle with spiked wheels."
Leonardo "And it probably belongs to whoever stole that Astroviewer. Come on."
[The Turtles and April begin following the tracks. Cut to the Hall of Science. On the roof, Bebop and Rocksteady are installing an antenna.]
Rocksteady "Okay, Krang, the antenna’s up."
[Inside, Krang is at work at a computer, with Shredder standing nearby.]
Shredder "I can’t believe we went to all that trouble just to steal a telescope."
Krang "With some major modifications I can turn this Astroviewer into a dimensional portal, giving us access to Dimension X once more. But first I must check its functions."
[Krang’s monitor shows an image of a ship in space.]
Shredder "What the devil? What is it?"
Krang "It’s some kind of Starfighter and it’s passing close by the Earth."
[There is a moment of static on the monitor, and then the image of an alien comes onscreen.]
Korak "This is Commander Korak, reporting in to the Glaxxon Federation. After months of battle, we have defeated our enemies and taken possession of the Firestar. It will make us Glaxxons the undisputed masters of the universe."
Krang "It’s incredible. I always thought the Firestar was just a legend."
Shredder "So, what is it?"
Krang "It's a crystalline fragment of matter produced during the creation of the universe itself. It's said to contain the power of a thousand suns. Whoever holds such power would be invincible. And it is my destiny to rule the cosmos, not those creatures."
Shredder "What are you doing?"
Krang "Heating up our main laser. I'm going to bring that ship down."
[He fires the laser and hits the ship.]
Glaxxon pilot "Number 3 Ion Drive is out."
Korak "We're going to crash."
[Meanwhile, the Turtles and April are still following the strange tracks.]
Donatello "They're still heading in the same direction, toward the old world's fair grounds."
Leonardo "Let's keep—"
[He stops at the sound of whistling in the distance.]
Raphael "You whistle?"
Donatello "It's not me.
It's that."
[He points to an object falling from the sky.]
It's that."
April "What on earth is it?"
Donatello "Well, technically it's not really on Earth yet."
Leonardo "No, but it's about to be. Come on."
[The ship hits the ground in a wooded area outside the city.]
Korak "I want your damage assessment."
[A tank-like vehicle rolls up on the scene. A hatch opens to reveal Shredder. He and Bebop hop and run up to the spaceship.]
Shredder "Bebop, blow the hatch."
Bebop "As always, it's a pleasure."
[He uses his laser blaster to blow a hole in the spaceship.]
Shredder "This stun grenade will take care of the occupants."
[He tosses the stun grenade into the spaceship. It begins crackling and sending out electric waves that freeze the Glaxxons in place. Shredder and his two mutants enter.]
Shredder "They'll be out for 10 minutes."
[Rocksteady opens a door.]
Rocksteady "Oh, boss.
That's what I call a powerful hunk of space rock."
[They look into the room beyond to see a glowing crystalline fragment suspended in a container.]
That's what I call a powerful hunk of space rock."
Shredder "It must be the Firestar. Cut it free."
[Bebop uses a blade to cut the cable holding the container in place. He grabs the container and all three leave the ship. A short while later, the Turtles and April locate the ship.]
Michelangelo "Whoa, it's a spaceship."
Donatello "Looks like something damaged its engine."
Leonardo "And that hatch was blasted open."
Michelangelo "Hey, look, dudes, more of those tracks."
Raphael "This is all getting a little too weird for my taste."
Donatello "Maybe not. I'm beginning to think that whoever stole the Astroviewer stole something from this ship as well."
Leonardo "We'd better check it out."
Donatello "Wait here, we'll only be a minute."
April "You'd better be."
