The Crystal Shard of K'azz is a mysterious crystal existing in an alternate world inhabited my mutant animals and dinosaurs in the Black, White & Green anthology series.
History[]
After Leonardo is sent to an alternate world through an accident with Donatello's interdimensional travel machine, he quickly adapts and becomes the Warrior King. Leo rules the Kingdom of Bane-Sh'arr, and the Crystal Shard of K'azz, which is kept in a shrine, is a coveted object in the kingdom. It is stolen one day by the leader of a group of mutant dinosaurs. When the dinosaur touches the Crystal Shard, a portal opens that allows him to step through directly into Castle Death, his own kingdom.
Leo leads a group of mutant animals from his kingdom to Castle Death in order to retrieve the Crystal Shard. They make it into the Castle, but find themselves outnumbered by the inhabitants. Leo battles his way onto the podium where the dino leader stands with the Crystal Shard. After knocking out the dino, Leo takes the Crystal Shard into his hands and a portal that has begun to open, suddenly widens. The portal admits Leo's brothers into the chamber, and they join the fight against the dinos. Soon, Leo, his followers, and the other Turtles are back in the Kingdom of Bane-Sh'arr. While Don examines the Crystal Shard, the brothers talk Leo into returning home with them. The Crystal Shard is left behind in the alternate world.
Though it is never explained what the Crystal Shard of K'azz actually does, the dino ruler implies that with it, his people will never know hunger again. The Crystal Shard also seems to have the power to open portals.
