[Opening sequence and theme song.]

[Pan over the city. Burne Thompson broadcasts a Channel 6 commentary.]

Burne Thompson "This is Burne Thompson with my views. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the most dangerous criminals in the city. Could they be responsible for the mysterious abduction of a dozen innocent people over the past month?
[Closeup on the broken front door of a jewelry store.]

I think, yes.
"

Thief "Okay, that's the last of the stuff. Let's split."

[The thieves run to the door, but the ringleader receives a to the chest before they can exit. Donatello stands blocking the doorway and Raphael walks up beside him.]

Raphael "You boneheads going somewhere?"

Thief "Yeah, away from you."

[They push past the pair of Turtles only to be stopped again.]

Michelangelo "Come on, dudes, let's get in their faces."

Thief "How about a little firepower, Turtle?"

[He aims a blaster at them.]

Leonardo "The sword is mightier than the blaster, punk."

[He throws a katana into the barrel of the blaster. When he pulls the sword out, the blaster explodes. The thief tries to run, but Leonardo tackles him. Another thief rushes at Raphael with a crowbar. When the man swings, Raphael steps to the side, catches the crowbar with his sai, and yanks it from the man’s hand. The thief falls down.]

Raphael "And the sai is mightier than the crowbar. Or something like that."

[Donatello steps in front of the thief holding the sack of stolen jewels.]

Donatello "I believe you have something that doesn't belong to you."

[The man turns to run, but Donatello pole vaults onto his back. The thief drops the bag and it spills open on the sidewalk. Raphael gathers up the jewelry.]

Raphael "I better not leave this lying around."

[Michelangelo ties the three thieves together.]

Donatello "Hurry up, Raphael, we've got to clear out of here before the police arrive."

[Police cars arrive and their headlights picks up the scene, including Raphael holding the sack of stolen items.]

Raphael "Oh, man."

[Police officers step out of their vehicles, weapons drawn.]

Police officer "Ah, it's those Turtles they keep showing on the news.
[He uses a megaphone.]

All right, you four, throw down your weapons and surrender.
"

Donatello "B-but these guys are the crooks."

Michelangelo "Yeah, we just caught them for you."

Police officer "Surrender or we open fire."

[The Turtles drop their weapons and raise their hands.]

Raphael "Man, what a bunch of ingrates."

Leonardo "Yeah, we run ourselves ragged catching criminals for them."

Raphael "And then they bust us."

Police officer "Now, you—You’d better come along quietly or…"

[They are startled by the voice of a newcomer.]

Amok "Or what?"

[The police look back to see two a pair of mutants standing atop a truck.]

Overdrive "Leave those Turtles alone. Alone, cops."

Amok "They're not criminals, they're heroes."

Leonardo "Who are those guys?"

Overdrive "We're mutants just like you."

Amok "And we mutants have to look out for one another.
[They hop down from the truck.]

Put on some speed, Overdrive.
"

Overdrive "Heh-heh-heh. You got it, Amok.
[He zips past the officers and disarms them in a flash before returning to Amok.]

Heh-heh-heh. Like taking candy from a baby.
"

Raphael "Somebody tell me I just saw what I think I saw."

Michelangelo "I think you saw it, amigo."

[Amok walks over to a police car and lifts it over his head.]

Amok "Get out of here, Turtles. We'll hold off the cops."

Leonardo "I don't like this. Those guys may be helping us, but they're breaking the law."

Raphael "Could we can the civics lesson and get out of here while we have a chance?"

[The Turtles make their escape. Amok throws the police car, which crashes on the street.]

Police officer "Fall back, men."

[Amok destroys another police car.]

Amok "Welcome to H.A.V.O.C."

[Shift to a man seated on a bus bench reading a newspaper. A garbage truck passes by, and the man is suddenly gone. The Turtles are running down a street.]

Raphael "Can you believe those cops were going to arrest us? After all we've done for this city."

Donatello "It just goes to show, you can't trust humans."

Leonardo "The humans are just misguided. You can't expect them to understand us."

Raphael "I'll say. The only guys who've done us any favors lately are those two mutants."

[Michelangelo spots something ahead of them.]

Michelangelo "Look, those dudes are breaking into the historical museum."

Donatello "That place is filled with priceless treasures."

Leonardo "We've got to stop them."

Raphael "Well, here we go again. Doing the humans' work for them."

[Two men are preparing to break in through a skylight. One of them ties a rope to a standpipe and lowers it down the skylight. He holds the rope as the other man climbs down first, and then follows. Suddenly, the rope is pulled up with them still clinging to it.]

Burly thief "Uh, hey, what's going on?"

Michelangelo "Two bad guys, coming up."

Burly thief "Those Turtles. Run for it."

Raphael "Not so fast, wise guy."

[He pulls his sais and throws them, pinning the Thin thief’s coat to the wall. Michelangelo throws his Turtle Line around the Burly thief’s legs and trips him, then pulls him across the roof.]

Burly thief "Hey!
[He pulls a knife and cuts the line.]

So long, Turtle.
"

[Off balance, Michelangelo falls back and goes over the edge of the roof.]

Michelangelo "Whoa!
[Suddenly, a winged mutant swoops down and catches Michelangelo by his belt.]

Holy guacamole. Who are you?
"

Raptor "Raptor's the name."

Michelangelo "You don't look like a dinosaur."

[The other Turtles climb down a fire escape as Raptor sets Michelangelo down on the sidewalk.]

Raptor "Raptor means bird of prey, my fine hard-shelled friend."

Raphael "You two just get married?"

Raptor "Merely helping out a fellow mutant."

Donatello "Speaking of mutants, there sure are a lot of us out tonight."

Leonardo "Yeah, who are all you guys?"

Amok "We're part of a growing group."

Michelangelo "You mean you've got like a club?"

Amok "Our organization is called Highly Advanced Varieties of Creatures."

Raptor "In case you haven't noticed, there's a growing hostility towards alternate life forms such as ourselves."

Amok "And we mutants have to look out for one another."

Raptor "You're welcome to visit our headquarters."

Amok "You can see for yourselves the benefits of joining our group."

Michelangelo "Man, there's something wonky about all this."

Donatello "What are you talking about? These guys saved our tails. Twice."

Leonardo "Maybe, but I wanna know more about these guys and their group."

[Cut to an underground location. A huge door is set in the wall. Amok enters a code on a security panel and the door slides open. The Turtles enter a palatial underground facility. One wall is glass, displaying sea life.]

Michelangelo "Whoa, nice digs."

Donatello "And digs is right. This place must be right under the waterfront."

[Raptor approaches another mutant.]

Raptor "Our guests would like to meet Titanus."

Michelangelo "Uh, we would?"

Raptor "The leader of our organization. He can tell you more about us."

[The Turtles follow Raptor to a chamber where a very large mutant is lying back on a bed munching on fruit.]

Titanus "Ah, the famous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Raphael "Don't tell me. Titanus?"

Titanus "The same. I created this sanctuary for my fellow mutants. We mutants have special talents which set us apart from the humans. We need a place where we are not outcasts. If this appeals to you, you are most welcome to join us."

Leonardo "Uh, c-c-could we have a moment to ourselves?"

Titanus "Of course."

[The Turtles step out of the chamber and into a hall.]

Leonardo "I don't like this."

Donatello "What's the big deal? It's mutants helping mutants."

Raphael "And you have to admit, it beats that musty old lair."

Leonardo "Okay. But how’d they afford all this? And where did all these mutants come from?"

Michelangelo "Yeah, when mutants pop out of the woodwork, it's usually bad news."

Leonardo "And I don't like the way Amok and Overdrive took on the police."

Raphael "Hello? They were helping us."

Leonardo "And have any of you noticed what Highly Advanced Variety of Creatures stands for?"

Donatello "H-A-V-O-C. Havoc."

Leonardo "I say there's something rotten about all this."

Donatello "Well, let's get another opinion."

[He uses his Turtlecom to get in touch with April.]

April O'Neil "April here."

Donatello "Have you ever heard of a group of mutants called—"

April "H.A.V.O.C.? Yeah. It's some sort of pro-mutant organization. In fact, some of their members are due here in about an hour."

Donatello "They are?"

April "Mm-hm. They're going to tape a rebuttal to Burne's latest anti-mutant tirade about all those mysterious abductions."

Raphael "Now, doesn't that sound sinister?"

April "But, listen, guys, there's something more important. A half a dozen science labs have been broken into tonight."

Leonardo "What's been stolen?"

April "That's the weird part, nothing."

Leonardo "Hm. Sounds like we better look into this."

Raphael "Ah, let the humans sort it out for a change."

Donatello "Yeah, all we ever do is help the humans and all we get is rejection."

Leonardo "Look, I'm not gonna stop doing what's right just because it isn't appreciated."

Raphael "Fine, drop us a card sometime."

Donatello "Yeah, if the humans don't arrest you first."

Michelangelo "Compadres, you're really not coming?"

Raphael "No way."

Michelangelo "Then I guess this means we're splitting up."

[Soon, Michelangelo and Leonardo are topside in the city again.]

Michelangelo "Dude, do you realize what just happened? Raphael and Donatello just split the team."

Leonardo "I know, I know. But we've got to find out what's behind those lab break-ins. Even if it's just the two of us."

Michelangelo "Does this mean the show will only be half as long next week?"
