[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[Pan down from a New York City skyline at night to the Turtle Lair. Donatello is in his workshop, welding on one of his machines.]
Leonardo "Hey, Donatello, care to join me in the exercise room for a workout?"
Donatello "Uh, maybe later, Leonardo. I'm making some adjustments on the Interdimensional Early Warning system."
Leonardo "Why? Is there something wrong with it?"
Donatello "Nothing serious, I just want to do a little fine-tuning."
[Cut to the docks.]
Vernon Fenwick "Oh, what a boring assignment. Trying to find some interesting characters down here at the docks."
[A sleeping cat is roused when a rat runs past. The cat screeches and jumps down to chase the rat and Vernon cries out in fear, jumping to latch onto a nearby light pole.]
Irma Langenstein "This part of town is so creepy. I just wish we had someone strong and brave to protect us."
Vernon "Hey. I'm here."
[Irma looks up to see Vernon clinging to the top of the pole.]
Irma "That's what I mean."
[Shift back to the lair.]
Donatello "There. A slight adjustment to the motion sensor mechanism and voilà.
The Interdimensional Early Warning system is working perfectly."
[He presses a button and alarms blare.]
The Interdimensional Early Warning system is working perfectly."
[Alarms continue to blare and lights flash.]
Leonardo "Wow. Noisy little gadget, isn't it?"
[Donatello presses the button again and turns off the alarms.]
Donatello "Better safe than sorry, I always say."
Raphael "Hey, how's a guy supposed to get any sack time with all that racket?"
Michelangelo "Yeah, dudes, we're growing teenage boys, remember?"
Raphael "Uh, "turtles," Michelangelo. Turtles."
Donatello "Sorry, guys, but vigilance never sleeps.
There. The portable portal is locked in place."
[He rolls another device across the floor and then presses a button.]
There. The portable portal is locked in place."
Leonardo "Great. Now I'm gonna get in some ninja practice."
Raphael "Heh, yeah, you do that. As long as I'm awake I may as well catch up on my reading."
Michelangelo "Not me. It's late-night sci-fi video time for this dude."
[The Turtles all leave the workshop. The locking mechanism on the portable portal deactivates and the machine starts rolling. It bumps into the interdimensional Early Warning system, causing it to spark. The resultant interaction opens a portal above a Dimension X Penitentiary.]
Lead Guard "Keep it moving. Stay in line. Eyes straight ahead. No talking."
Skarrg "We must escape from this fiendish place."
Dregma Brother 1 "A futile dream. Escape is impossible."
Dementor "I will risk it, Skarrg."
Skarrg "Splendid. You take the lead guard. I'll handle the other."
Dementor "No."
[He snaps his wrist chains.]
Lead Guard "What?"
[Dementor grabs the guard’s weapon and knocks him out.]
Dementor "I'll take that."
[He uses the weapon to disintegrate Skarrg’s chains.]
Skarrg "Ah! That feels so much better."
[He grabs the other guard by the neck.]
Guard "Whoa!"
[Skarrg flings the guard against force field bars, which knocks him out.]
Skarrg "Quickly, Dementor, head for the escape tunnel."
[The pair run for it, with more guards shooting at them. They reach a gate blocking off the tunnel.]
Dementor "Blast it! Bars of solid strontium."
Skarrg "I'll handle this."
[He pulls on two of the bars, snapping them in half and then bending them down.]
Dementor "Excellent, Skarrg."
[They step through the opening but then a gas sprays down from the ceiling.]
Skarrg "What's that?"
Dementor "Paralyzing gas.
One thing I hadn’t counted on."
[Both begin coughing and slowly dropping to the ground.]
One thing I hadn’t counted on."
Lead Guard "That's it, boys. Nice and easy now."
[They deploy a ray that wraps the criminal pair in coils and lifts them off the ground.]
Guard "We'll have you back in your cells in no time."
[The guards take the pair back to a prison cell.]
Lead Guard "A little solitary confinement should change your minds about trying to escape."
[The criminals are released from the ray coils and drop to the floor. The bars stretch across the entry.]
Dementor "It appears the Dregma Brothers were right."
Skarrg "Perhaps these electronic particle grids can be deprogrammed.
Or perhaps not."
[He grabs the bars, receives a severe shock, and is thrown backwards.]
Or perhaps not."
[Cut to the Turtle Lair, where Leonardo is practicing.]
Leonardo "Hyah! Hy-- Whoo. Hyah! Hyah! Ooh."
[Sprawled on the couch with pizza to eat, Michelangelo watches a movie.]
Michelangelo "All right! Way to go creature dude."
[An alarm starts beeping, startling Raphael enough to tear his comic book in two.]
Raphael "Oh, great! Not again."
Leonardo "The Early Warning system. We've got intruders.
What's going on?"
[They race to the workshop.]
What's going on?"
Donatello "Uh, no problem. Uh, everything's under control. The portable portal bumped the Interdimensional Early Warning system apparatus which momentarily caused a tear in the dimensional fabric."
Michelangelo "Whoa. I hope none of those ugo Dimension X creatures got through."
Leonardo "We'd better check it out."
[Shift to the Dimension X penitentiary.]
Dementor "Skarrg, I fear it would take a miracle for us to escape."
[A portal opens right next to him.]
Skarrg "Look. Dementor, it appears our miracle has arrived."
[They both leap through the portal. Meanwhile, on a city street, Vernon and Irma are still searching for a story.]
Vernon "Oh. What a ridiculous assignment. I'll never make a name for myself at this rate."
Irma "Vernon, you've already made a name for yourself. It just can't be said on television."
Vernon "If only something big would happen."
Irma "You and your big mouth."
[A portal engulfs them both and they fade out. Then Skarrg and Dementor appear in New York City.]
Skarrg "What strange landscape is this?"
Dementor "We're apparently on a planet in a different dimension. Hm. Mentally multiplying the speed of our travel by the algebraic formula minus the differential I calculate that we are on the planet Earth."
Skarrg "Earth. Hm. I have heard of it. A minor asteroid in an inferior galaxy. Let us see how technologically advanced these Earth creatures are."
[They approach an electronics story. Skarrg uses his heat vision to melt the bricks on the side of the building. They look through and then laugh.]
Dementor "What truly primitive electronic equipment these creatures are still using."
Skarrg "Like prehistoric to say the least."
Dementor "But, wait. What have we here?"
[He stretches his arms to reach through the wall of an arms and ammunition store and retrieves two weapons. He hands one to Skarrg.]
Skarrg "They appear to be weapons of some sort."
Dementor "Precisely, Skarrg. With our superior strength and intelligence, and a few of these weapons, we could rule this planet."
[Skarrg fires his weapon at a light pole and it melts. People nearby run.]
Skarrg "How quaint. A rudimentary thermal liquefier."
Dementor "Hm. With weapons such as these at their command we might need some help in conquering these Earthlings."
Skarrg "Oh, yes. A few bad men. For example, the Dregma Brothers."
Dementor "An ideal choice, Skarrg. But, unfortunately, they are still locked up in the Dimension X penitentiary."
[They both sit down on a street curb.]
Skarrg "Then we must think of some way to free them and bring them here."
[The Turtles are above in the city, patrolling for anomalies.]
Michelangelo "Well, no sign of those Dimension X dudes so far."
Donatello "Oh, good. Because our weapons might be useless against them."
Leonardo "What do you mean?"
Donatello "Well, those creatures have destructive powers a hundred times more powerful than ours."
Raphael "I'll say one thing about Donatello; he sure knows how to put a damper on a conversation."
[In Dimension X, Vern and Irma find themselves in a prison cell.]
Vernon "I still don't understand what happened. One minute we're crossing a city street and the next minute we're in some kind of prison."
Irma "Those jaywalking laws are getting tougher every day."
Vernon "Now, listen, I'm an important member of the press. It's time to start throwing my weight around."
[He grabs the cell bars and receives a shock that throws him back against the wall.]
Irma "Nice try, Vernon, but you threw it in the wrong direction."
[Back in New York, April drives through the city in a Channel 6 newsvan.]
April O'Neil "I'm in the midtown area, Chief, checking out that interdimensional disturbance rumor."
Burne Thompson "
Well, keep on it, April. This could be something big. Big, big, big."
[Over the radio.]
Well, keep on it, April. This could be something big. Big, big, big."
April "Right, chief.
Looks like I just found my story.
New invaders from another planet. And they're headed my way.
Oh, no. Oh, no. It won't start."
[The van headlights pick up Skarrg and Dementor.]
Looks like I just found my story.
[She comes to a stop.]
New invaders from another planet. And they're headed my way.
[She tries starting the van, but the engine won’t turn over.]
Oh, no. Oh, no. It won't start."
Dementor "What manner of creature is this?"
[April grabs her mini-camera and hops out of the van.]
April "This is no time to be afraid, April. Just do your job."
Dementor "Obviously, a hostile Earthling and pointing a weapon."
[He fires his blaster at her, but she hops aside.]
April "Whoa! I come in peace. Quit shooting and I'll-- I'll-- I'll take you to our leader."
[She runs around the corner of a building and Dementor fires again, damaging the building. The Turtles drive up on the scene in their Turtle Van.]
Donatello "Look, it's April."
April "Whoa, am I glad to see you guys. We've been invaded by extraterrestrials."
[The Turtles hop out of the van and look around at a scene of pure carnage.]
Michelangelo "These dudes play for keeps."
Donatello "According to the life force scanalyzer these rampaging creatures are from Dimension X."
Raphael "Creatures from Dimension X? [laughs] Why however do you suppose they could have gotten here?"
Donatello "Hey, nobody's perfect."
[Suddenly, screaming people run down the street past them, followed by an explosion.]
Michelangelo "What was that?"
Leonardo "Let's find out."
