Comic BomBom (コミックボンボン, Komikku Bonbon) was a was a monthly Japanese children's manga magazine published by Kodansha and aimed at elementary school boys. Comic BomBom was published from 1981 to 2007 and during this time they serielized manga from many franchises such as G.I. Joe, Super Mario, Mega Man and Godzilla to name just a few.
Comic Bombom started to publish their own gag manga version of Mutant Turtles (ミュータント・タートルズ) written and drawn by Mikaeru Haato in March issue of 1994 and ran for total of 3 months.
From June 1994 issue to November 1994 issue, Comic Bombom published Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 (ミュータント・ニンジャ タートルズ3) that was a different version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (film) manga than what Dengeki Comics released and was once again written and drawn by Mikaeru Haato . Comic BomBom's manga adaptation of the movie was later released as a bunko paperback. Comic BomBom's manga adaptation is a gag manga that adds new story beats and new minor characters to the story.
