Clyde is a former member of the Punk Frogs and a current member of the Foot Clan in IDW continuity.
History[]
In the recent past, Clyde witnessed another frog, Bonnie, being kidnapped by a turtle with a "weird shell". His observation led the gang to hunt down the Splinter Clan to get her back, convinced that they were the ones who took her. The Frogs encountered Casey outside of the dōjō and beat him up, deducing by him calling for help that they were at the right place. The Frogs entered and began accusing the Turtles of taking Bonnie, particularly once Clyde noticed Donatello's prosthetic carapace, equating it to the "weird shell" of Bonnie's kidnapper.
The Turtles tried to reason with the Frogs and offered to help them look for Bonnie, but Attila was convinced that Clyde had identified the kidnapper correctly. They lit a molotov cocktail and although the Turtles tried to stop the bottle from doing any damage with a scuffle, it had proved fruitless, and the dōjō caught on fire and burned down.
The Turtles later infiltrate 999 Music Hall, where the Frogs have been holed up since their mutation, and another fight breaks out. When Seri's spaceship crashes into Dr. Barlow Mutant Cosmetic Surgery Services, Attila gives the orders to scatter and regroup. Clyde happens upon the rubble of the clinic, and sees the patchwork Turtle know going by "Venus", who he recognizes as Bonnie. He uses his scimitar to cut off the head of the advancing Chuck, then finally realizes that he didn't see a Turtle kidnapping Bonnie, that Turtle was an escaped Bonnie/Venus, who was still under reconstruction by Jasper Barlow. Don invites Venus to stay with him and the other Turtles, but Clyde tugs on her arm and insists he goes back with them. While Don does say that Venus has to make her own decisions, she knocks them both back with a low-powered psychic blast, which detaches Venus' arm in Clyde's grip. She thanks Don for everything but tells Clyde she doesn't remember anything as her time as Bonnie. She leaves to strike out on her own, and Clyde carries her arm back to the rest of the Frogs.
During the Rat King's "Armageddon Game, Casey Jones comes across the Frogs outside of Mutant Town, trying to find food, and they butt heads as Casey tries to round them back up to return. Then, the Purple Dragons appear and, now an anti-mutant brigade, mock Casey for his time spent in the company of mutants. Casey and the Frogs team up to take down the Dragons, Casey and the Frogs leaving each other on a more positive note. After Casey meets up with John and Elizabeth O'Neil, he returns with some fresh tacos for the Frogs, courtesy of the O'Neils.
After the Armageddon Game is concluded, Clyde and Casey join the Foot Clan to investigate thin places.
Personality[]
Clyde does not come off as very bright, or at least not very observant. His details of Bonnie's kidnapping are vague and suspect. Despite this, Attila trusts his judgment enough to move ahead with a rescue mission based on his scarce details alone.
