  • The episode's title is a reference to the phrase "cloak-and-dagger".
  • Among the several bottles of hot sauces she holds up, April holds up a bottle of hot sauce branded as "Fire Ants", which has a picture of the series co-creator Ant Ward on the label.
    • She also holds up a bottle labeled as "Super Suriano", which is also a nod to co-creator Andy Suriano.
  • The cooking show and painting show hosts highly resemble Julia Child and Bob Ross respectively.
    • The late night host and guest bear a resemblance to the human forms Sando Brothers, though it is not yet confirmed if its really them.
      • However, it should be noted that the Sando Brothers’ logo can be seen on the mug on the talk show host’s desk.
