Synopsis[]

Morning dawns on the O'Neil Farm in Northampton, Upstate New York. Michelangelo rises and heads to the kitchen for a much anticipated breakfast, but Donatello dashes his hopes. The refrigerator broke down during the night and all of the food has gone bad.

Mikey realizes what a broken refrigerator means for Ice Cream Kitty. He quickly looks in the freezer, but nothing is there but melted ice. Tears stream from Mikey’s eyes as he begins to mourn the loss of his pet – until Don points out that Ice Cream Kitty is sitting in a cooler nearby.

Wrapping his arms around the cooler, Mikey asks how long it will take to fix the refrigerator, thinking only an hour or two. He is not happy to hear that if parts have to be ordered, it would take up to a week to complete the repairs. Mikey knows that Kitty can’t last that long in the heat and Don tells him he’ll have to find someplace else for Kitty to keep cool.

Both Mikey and Ice Cream Kitty think about it. Mikey then heads outside with Kitty still in the cooler and goes to the old well. He places Kitty in the bucket and begins to lower her down, assuring her that the well is cold, dark and close to the house. Unfortunately, the old rope snaps and the bucket starts to fall, but with his ninja reflexes Mikey is able to catch it.

Shortly thereafter, Mikey is walking through the woods and comes upon a cave. As he enters the cave, Mikey checks off their requirements; cold, dark, and a shell-friendly entrance and exit. The farther in they go, the darker it becomes, until Mikey can’t see anything. He finds a sudden rustling sound to be disturbing and even worse when dozens of little eyes surround him. Mikey starts running and screaming “they’re in my hair!” as bats chase him from the cave.

A little later, a winded Mikey sits near a stream and asks Kitty if the cold running water wouldn’t do the trick. He thinks he’s found the perfect spot – until a bear appears. The bear goes for Mikey, knocking Kitty’s cooler into the stream. As the bear attacks, Mikey shouts for Kitty to go for help while he holds the bear off. The bear slashes at him, but Mikey whips out his nunchaku and winds the chain around the bears paws. Both are surprised when Kitty suddenly comes flowing back, holding two large fish that’s she’s caught on her arms.

Soon both Don and Leonardo walk through the woods, investigating the strange sounds they heard and worried about Mikey. They come upon him sitting with the bear near a campfire, with Kitty in her cooler a safe distance from the flames. The bear is munching on one of the fish she caught and Mikey is roasting the other. Mikey asks his brothers if they’re there for the fish fry.

Shocked, Leo asks if Mikey knows there is a bear next to him. Mikey introduces him as Captain Bearnaise and says he’s cool. He just gets a little crazy hungry sometimes. Then Mikey tells them a new fun fact, that ice cream makes great fish bait. Leo informs him that they came out to let Mikey know that Donnie fixed the fridge. Excited, Mikey asks if Kitty knows what this means – popsicle party at the farm house! He invites Captain B, but Don cuts in to say he is not bringing the bear back to the house. Captain Bearnaise roars loudly in Don’s face and the Turtle quickly changes his mind.
